Why I posted Jatz's phone number

I shared this story with one person, and they convinced me I should share it with the board.

I used to call Jatz alot, because I wanted to help him, I think he has not had it easy, and I think that hes got some serious mental issues. I felt like maybe I could help him by giving him someone to talk to.

So this one paticular day, I was talking to him, and I told him I had to go, because I had to leave for work. He seemed a tad upset that I had to cut the conversation short, but there was nothing I could do.

I wasnt there to witness it, as I had left to get on the bus... but what he did went something like this. He called my grandparents house back. My mother was the only one there. She answered, and he told her his name, and said that he had been dating me for about 4 months, and that I was pregnant. He said that the reason I didnt tell her was because I was scared of what her reaction would be. There was a bit more to it, but I dont want to divulge into details.

My mother has some serious mental health issues. Im not telling you guys this to make you feel bad or sorry for me, I actually cope with it very well. Im adding this so you can better understand the position she took, and the effect it had. She is schitsophrenic (sp?). So, basically, she went ballistic. She called my father.

Now, she and my father rarley ever- if at all talk. they had a rather harsh seperation, custody battles etc... so that alone says the nature of this, she was taking this very seriously. She told him what happened, the call from some kid Im dating, and he got me pregnant. Now to explain my Dad, he is one of the only people in this world that I have true respect for. He has a kidney failure disease, and he got a transplant, but in all reality, its not likley that he will live very long. He got really really upset. He called me long distance (I live in Ca now) and he was crying. I explained to him I had no idea what was going on, and I can promise him that its not true.

The next day, I confronted Jatz, and he said that I didnt know how to take a joke. When I expressed that I really didnt take that paticular joke well, because it was causing ALOT of waves (family members I havent talked to in years calling me to 'see how life was treating me') and everything else... he said something along the lines of 'get over it whore'. and hung up.

It was fairly late at night. I joked about posting his number, and greg told me 'yah, do it'. So because I was so mad, and so pissed off I did.

The reason I never wanted to tell anybody this was because, I ended up feeling pretty shitty about what I did. One of those two wrongs dont make a right type of deals. That and, I really dont think Jatz realized he did anything wrong. He sent me PMs saying 'what did I do??? I didnt do anything wrong!' and I was just like 'yah whatever.' It was clear that the boy wasnt all straightened out in his head, and its true- he has had a very hard home life. So, I didnt want to make the community further hate him.

The reason Im posting this now, is because... I guess Im tired of getting walked all over. Again, this isnt for attention reasons for me, but Im just always putting my neck on the line for people, and Im just consistantly getting hurt, and Im tired of it. So, maybe if I work on standing up for things here, then I can in my personal life also. What it comes down to, is- what Jatz did was fucked up. And, maybe if I come out about it to the community that he loves, he wont do it to anyone else. Or maybe, people wont let him do it to them. Maybe he will be able to finally realize the effects of lis little joke...

So there you go. And, thank you to the friend who convinced me to post this... I havent even hit send yet, and I feel alot better.

Mari deals with Jatz kind on a daily basis. It's not surprising she's not flipping out. Anyone else would, shit I'd probably attempt to find out where he lives and go kill his family myself. But this just proves how awesome Mari is. She can give me the clap anyday.

Its not made up, and Im not a saint. Someone asked me what happened, I hadnt told anyone, not even greg or jason. for this exact reason. so finally after it had settled, i told one person, and they told me to post it. It made since. things have settled between him and i since then. and for the reasons in the first post- im just tired of shit.
