I wasn't on Sapone's list, and I completely disagree with that, but I still think the following is interesting:

Jon Sapone can say almost anything he wants to in an overly aggressive "text-based" tone. We eat it up, we rally behind him, we join him for a full night of rampages... check out the archived forums... but the one time he calls us unfunny, we freak out and call HIM an idiot with a bad attitude?

He calls us unfunny... funny being most of this board's only goal... and because it's the ONE thing too many of us are sensitive about, we all get defensive and then attack?

It makes no sense.

Though... him including a list of retards was kind of an awesome reason for these arguments.

If you ask anyone what they'd like in a person, one of their points would be 'A good sense of humour', it's just a great thing to be funny and for someone to tell 80+ people they're tryhards and are failures at it will of course come with conflict.

Sapone is right in saying there's too many people trying to be funny to fit in, and spamming topics with stupid asinine bullshit. I'm not going to make a list of "Funny People" because we all have different opinions, but people need to try to at least be original. I hate opening Topics and rading the same shit over and over, i.e RAPE C:\, ect. it's only funny under certain circumstances, and, I hate to say it, but when certain people say it.

I read through a lot of jokes/humour attempts on this BB and I laugh at about 40% of them.
When I see something unfunny I keep reading past. It's no biggie that a joke didn't hit me as funny. Especially the fad humour when it gets overused.
If a serious topic gets ruined by jokes then it's bad, but I've grown tolerant. Probably because I'm not the one to judge humour, as mine is pretty damn bad.

Sapone has a point, when topics get ruined by bad jokes, you can't just let them go. But then again, we can't all have the same sense of humour. Many times a topic has gone in a direction that I didn't find funny put I just pressed the close window button cause I'm not a warrior of the funny.
I for one only find Jay Ruiz funny half the time, but always find Jaymond funny, Br usually is funny, Midback is mostly funny, Tuffe John is usually funny
The bottom line should be something like 'when the jokes go further than people's general tastes.. then flame them'
