Bothering Bongo

Plot Summary:
A stupid, abstract movie I made.

I made this movie just to introduce myself to the community. It's really stupid, has no handmade scenery, and makes no sense, but I liked making it. Enjoy

edit: check out the sequel as well

Excellent use of sound effects. I liked the bongo interactions.

...I'm really cynical about 3dmming these days, and I thought that was ridiculously fun to watch.

Haha, some really promising animation there and yeah, the sound effects were really well used. It got particularly good beyond 3:07.

It's also the first time I've ever heard the "look left" and "look right" midis used as their names suggest.

Hahaha I did like this!

It's cute.. probably the first legitimate CARTOON in 3dmm in a very long while. I really enjoyed the sound effects and the creativity that went into picking and choosing which ones fit where.

I also really enjoyed the last scene, for no excellent reason. It just seemed appropriate. Keep making movies!!

Wow! I loved this!

Very good use of character animations, props, sound effects, music. I laughed hardest when he was woken up with the water balloon. oh man

Very well done, I'm very impressed, please make more movies!

Gregory and Gustave seem pretty unordinary in this film. Watching my film could help you distinguish ordinaries from unordinaries.

great introductory movie, short and very sweet. obviously it's not anything MIND BLOWING, but it was still entertaining, which is great, these days we're not really that fussed about detailed scenery and crazy animation, as long as it's entertaining in some way, it's fine, and you've done that FABULOUSLY

welcome aboard!

Yes, this was good for what it was. I loled when they just pushed the two bongos back into one.

By the way Dan, when is the next Handsome Man coming out? That was like one of the first 3dmm series I downloaded...and the Handsome Man in Australia is probably my favorite 3dmm movie ever.

hahaha, oh man, what an awful feeling that's just come over me , i don't know man, i'd really like to, but there are 2 reasons that bother me

1) My comp is shit now, it doesn't play 3dmm movies at the framerate it should, so groovy music-synced scenes would be a no no, and I always like to do those! i.e. the dolphin scene

2) When I do open 3DMM I can't help but feel that I should be doing something more creatively productive, if it was the only thing I was good at then I'd be doing it till the cows come home, but I love illustrating, and that's probably better for me in terms of getting a CAREER out of it.

Thanks for the kind words though man, means a lot. Barely anyone makes 3DMM movies these days, but if I knew enough people would watch another movie from ol' me, then maybe..

Lol I understand...I've seen your illustrations too (which are awesome), so it makes sense for you to pursue that. Regardless I'll always be crossing my fingers for Handsome Man in Canada...

Lol alright I'm done sucking up to you now

Knock it off you guys. You're the next generation of 3dmm; this is like asking Grandpa to go fight in the war for you.
