They aren't "effects" and these are 100% real. No photoshops.

Here I was in bed when I said "Hmmm a few more FIRE PHOTOS for the PICTORZ thread!" so you get to see me in sexy boxers!

I tried to write "TACO" as teh digital taco thinks these are fake but I fucked it up!

Firebolt!

ZAAAAAAAP MOTHER FUCKER!

I farted ROFFLES!!!

I fucked up the positioning of the lighter, so my DRAGON is a little lame!

Flaming hot

Head ache.

PS: Forgive the hair, it's usually spiked up but I just took a shower My hair is fucking gay when I get out of the shower!

Well, if I did that, my hand would be a blur following the flame, now wouldn't it?

So no.

Take a look at the fourth photo. This should give you a good idea. Look at my legs...wtf? Yes, my legs are transparent. Yet I was not "placed" on top of the bed as exactly where my knees are, the bed "folds" and fits my knees. Hmmm....

The only other thing I'll say is, apart from a 640x480 resize in Photoshop, these photos came STRAIGHT from the compact flash card from my Nikon. No photoshoppery.

Do that in Photoshop then, Taco.

And here, a 2048x1536 JPEG directly from my Nikon 885. Check the headers if you like.

It's not fake, my friend does it with a flash light. It has to do with the shutter on the camera and the timing. Like a sequence.

Allergic 2 Life > Digital Taco

Not so digital now, are ya?

Yes it's using the exposure and shutter speeds, the flash at the right time, and TIMER to take the photo.

The shutter is open for 8 seconds. This captures the flame. BUT, how come you don't see my arm blurring about? Or even the lighter? 8 seconds of exposure, I'd be pretty blurry, no? So how is it done?

I've already answered the question. Try to guess.

While I'm no expert on photography, I did study it for half a year or so, and I can assure you that it entirely possible. The image is made by light exposure on the film (although no film is involved, it's the same principle with digital cameras too). The longer the shutter is open, the more light it takes in, and thus is objects are moving they will appear to move in the image.

That's how shots like these are done:

How the fuck is that fake? Explain.

That's me...that's a real flame. It's one picture, taken by my camera. It's not fake. Educate yourself.

Yes, but that's only half the OMG KEWL. The other half is "BUT, how come you don't see my arm blurring about? Or even the lighter? 8 seconds of exposure, I'd be pretty blurry, no?"

So go on Ballard! I don't know shit about Photography. I knew the principal of exposure and what is possible but I never thought of doing this. I read about it on some forums.

You can, Jesus - it's the most well known thing ever.

And Taco is right, there isn't REALLY flames in loops infront of you, and you don't REALLY have transparant legs..
