Instead of banning people, lets confine them to a forum for banned users.

I think this would be great.

I think we should do it. Except all normal "unbanned" members will still be allowed into the forum, but the banished are not allowed out.

I'm not sure, there's a surprising number of unpopular members who tried really hard to come back.

Yeah, there has to be the stipulation that if enough people want them back, they can come back. They have to have something to work for.

Yeah, I assumed this would be the case. It'd be much more fun if we could all talk to them.

tis a great idea. but i'm not sure if normal members should be allowed to post in it, cause like... if they were, it'd kinda become just another forum and it would end up like they'd never really been banned at all. i dunno.

we should try it though.

Haha, I've actually thought about doing this before. Create like some sort of alternate universe for 3dmm.com, where only they can see their own posts. There's already a feature like that built into vbulletin, but there are a lot of flaws that make it obvious to the banned user that something is afoul. For example, the only person I ever tried it on was Jatz, and he figured it out after just a couple days.

it should be viewed by the normal posters though - so as to deter evil plottings.

I don't get it, how is it not entirely obvious? A couple of DAYS? Wouldn't they know within like a minute when they first go to post? I thought they'd be notified that they were "banned" and are now stuck in the Banned Users forum.
Or am I just misreading something here?

edit: Oh, it looks like you're talking about something different. I dunno, I was thinking it would be fun for all banned users to interact in this separate forum just for them, rather than only seeing the posts they made, so we could see their stupidity in this special forum. But all normal users could possibly post there, so we could make fun of them.
