A Vampire Love Story (unfinished)
Fredrick's Avatar
Plot Summary:
A tragic tale of a vampire tired of living in eternal solitude.

Special thanks to Will Slade for doing voices, and Aaron Haynes for giving me feedback on everything from visuals to story.

Basically this was an attempt at playing with romance clichés, about two characters trying to bridge their two different worlds together, but ultimately not succeeding. Looking back at it now, there is a lot of things I would have done differently. But time ran out, and I guess what is there is still worth a look, so here you go.

PS: If someone could provide a mirror, it'd be much appreciated.

I just watched it, and what you've done with it is amazing. The music all fits really well, and as a whole; it could have been a fantastic watch.

EDIT: Mirror'd.

Aww, I'd forgotten all about this. It's a shame you didn't finish it, but what with 3dmm being in the current state it's in, I don't blame you one bit.

As with every single release of yours, the scenery is fucking gorgeous and I really envy you for it. You've nailed the 'dark gothic' style, and you've totally mastered the 'slightly angled object shading' thing (hard to describe but hopefully you get what I mean). Almost every one of your finished scenes is perfect, with nothing more needed. The living room in particular. It looks totally beyond 3dmm's capabilities, almost like a real portrait.

I was more pleased with my voice acting when I originally sent you the lines, but listening to them now, I think it sounds a little dead and boring. But then again, from what I've seen of the character, I'm assuming it suits him.

For what it's worth, I think this would've been really great as a finished release. And that's not really a complaint but rather a compliment. I could see the beginnings of a lot of heart-warming Tim Burton-esque moments, and the two main characters were almost instantly likeable. No one else in this community could've done this movie better.

Well done for getting this far with it.

Of what's here, it is really good. It all flows and goes together in a really professional way. The shading in a few scenes was incredible, considering the limitations of doing shading in this program. The camera angles all seemed to be creative and interesting. Too bad it wasn't finished, but as slade said, you really can't be blamed.

That was stunning, some of those scenes were jaw droppingly incredible and you did very well making this unfinished film have a sad and lonely vibe around the main character. It's a shame this is unfinished but great job for what you have done.

I don't understand.

Very good movie, I wish you had finished it, by god, but very well done to you.

Only one word I think can describe the things you did with this movie: fantastic.

Shame you never finished it though, I would've absolutely savoured the rest of it.

Well, it's dead.

Not the actual program, I mean the 3dmm corner of the community. Dead.

That was really great - amazing scenery and wonderful direction. It's a real shame you couldn't bring yourself to finish it, or at least give it some sort of thrown-together conclusion. But oh well.

It really would have helped a lot to have found someone to voice the girl. Surely you can find someone to do it, even if it's just Jeff Ching?

What you do have is really fantastic though. Kudos.
