Why do mods never bother to clean up double-threads

It happens like once a week, the website shits itself and someone accidentally makes the same thread twice. Yet all of the doubles just sit there in the forum, wasting space. Even when the person says, "delete this please." nothing is done.

why are all the mods such lazy useless pieces of shit.
