Stats is a gen ed requirement pretty much everywhere so I took it at community college while I was there. It transferred to my current school, but the one I took was 3 credits and the course here is 4, so I get the 3 credits, but it doesn't apply toward the requirement, and if I take the equivalent here, I lose the 3 transfer credits, which used to be a problem since I was going to graduate with exactly 120 credits.

So my choices are to either take advanced stat (with like, calculus and shit) or business stat. Obviously, I take business stat.

Stat is dumbed down math, and business stat is dumbed down stat. Like, when I took regular stat, the exercises on homework were like "Here's a bunch of data, calculate the standard deviation and do some other shit with it" which is pretty boring math in itself

Business Stat gives me a table with a list of things like mean, median, range, std dev, etc and then asks me what the standard deviation is. As in like, look at the table, take that number, write it down.

I've skipped a total of 7 out of 13 lectures and have gotten A's on all the homeworks, which take roughly five minutes to do despite them taking up 8 goddamned sheets of printed paper.

It's not a hard class by any means, it's just so fucking dumb

and then like, the kids in my class will ask questions about where numbers came from and it's like

...

man.

you look in that chart and straight up write that number down. Like, this is pretty rudimentary shit, here.

I fucking hate business students.
