last year I was driving along the highway with a co-worker and a hubcap(or some other round metal object) came flying off the semi truck that was ahead of us, we swerved and it missed the truck but we happened to be pulling a utility trailer also... the hubcap hit the tire on the right side of the trailer and the tire basically exploded.

i was installing something that i knew had bad shit in it to a sandbox for a reason that i can't explain

i must have at some point moved one of the files out of the sandbox without noticing

And was it having an immediate and noticeable impact on your performance, or did your virus scan just say it was bad? I always get paranoid that any slowness is a virus, but then again a lot of the time when virus scans point out something "serious," it's just a false flag.

it installed System Check which created all sorts of problems and then said that it scanned and found the same problems that it was creating, it disabled task manager and the antivirus and hid all of the files on c: and other annoying stuff

lots of different viruses started popping up in antivirus

i fixed it all, but after something that bad i dont feel safe on that computer without formatting

yeha I hate when viruses fuck up your shit...I had a real bad one once and decided not to format...but it was so annoying cause it blitzed so many of my standard windows exes like paint, calculator, notepad...I had to get it all back, plus more shit too, forgot.
