My problem with Waters of Mars isn't pointless filler. Honestly, I don't think it's that bad on the filler. The whole adventure is pretty great, with 10 struggling with this fixed point in time thing blablabla we've all seen it

my big fucking problem with it, is that he changes a fixed point in time and there's this big TIME LORD VICTORIOUS thing which is -holy shit a really cool concept that could be expanded on, this could be an entire episode in itself, you know, 10 going around changing everything bad about history because NO ONE CAN TELL HIM NO ANYMORE and he can do whatever he wants and go wherever he wants and-- oh it's over already. That lasted all of ten seconds.

You get rid of Voyage of the Damned (because it's terrible) you scoot Waters of Mars back one episode, and you put an episode in between WoM and EoT, wherein 10 goes crazy and does all kinds of shit, like preventing WWII and the fall of Atlantis and other shit I don't know and then he decides to go for broke and breaks the lock on the Time War so he can bring back the Time Lords and then HOLY SHIT NOW END OF TIME HAS A MUCH BETTER PLOT.

WOH.

Well yeah, the short-lived mad-with-power was pretty dumb. Definitely should have gone on longer or not happened at all.

Like I said it would have either made a much better finale for 10s run or bridged the way to a return of the timelords (who were also stupid)

Agreed @ that. A waste of a great concept. Tennant's doctor was arrogant enough throughout the run that it made a ton of sense but then yeah didn't last long enough at all.

I just spent £388 pounds on busking/gigging equipment.

I got a Roland Street Cube, A Shure SM58, Boomstand, and a Fishman Neo Acoustic Guitar Pick-up.

I AM SET.

I grabbed the id bundle on Steam for AU$44.50, which came with Rage. Rage is priced at AU$60.00+ on it's own, and apparently it wasn't supposed to be included. So, yay for me. Also, the original Quake is fucking good. We need more games like it.

Well, it was $15.00 for American and NA customers. It was marked down to $60.00 for Australians. There was a thing over on Rockpapershotgun I believe. Skyrim was included in the Bethesda bundle too, but was taken out like 15 minutes after it showed up.

our currency is like the same, and it was marked DOWN to $60? when at full price it is $30 here.

so, some company must have full control of your prices, right? like they refuse to sell games if Steam lowers the price too far, etc? cause i know something like that is why the UK prices get fucked up (their distributor GAME would pull all games off the shelves if they were sold too low on Steam... or at least that's the threat i hear about)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is still priced at AU$60.00 on Steam.
Edit: AU$60.00 is the reduced price - it's still set to AU$90.00, it's on special at the moment.

This is why people pirate.

At release in the US, most games are around US$60.00? The US and AU dollar are currently around parity. Australian's pay AU$110.00 for the same game.

In any case, Rage - and it's co-op shit - is pretty spectacular. It's certainly NOT open world, though. But the mechanics are solid. Just patch it and update your drivers - works great! Runs 60FPS constant.

yeah, i was looking around and it clearly is ridiculous, but id like to know WHY its ridiculous

and a new game here is $50 or $60. plenty are $50. its actually kinda crazy because i have a receipt of Monkey Island from like 1992 and it was $70.

I might actually take you up on that offer. As you can see - even with the conversion fees - I'd be saving close to 70% on most recently released games.
