Yeah PD pushed it to the limit, which resulted in slowdown. I like PD more than Goldeneye.
You can emulate it on PC and it'll look way better and run perfectly smooth. Plus you can use a 360 controller and get dual-analog instead of the C-buttons (of course its just binding analog directions to C-buttons though).

If you find it more exciting than recent games, you might just not be playing the right stuff. You probably like arcadey action games and should stay away from anything that favors gritty realism shit. I'm the same way. But plenty of really popular games are about arcadey action, and plenty of today's games have awesome co-op.

I used to emulate a lot, especially on my PSP. I always found even the smoothest running games had a few annoying glitches or two, mainly sound glitches. for instance I could never get a good version of Donkey Kong Country 1-2-3 to run at a decent framerate UNLESS I disabled the sound...which is the best part of the whole game. I tried everything. I'm more of a purist these days, i'd rather just play an n64 or a super nes instead of trying to emulate it and dealing with annoying glitches. maybe perfect dark is dfferent, I don't know.

I emulated like crazy on my last PC, and I never encountered any of these glitches. Especially SNES... they all ran perfectly (using ZSNES). I just played Donkey Kong 1 + 2 recently. N64 emulation I did less of, but that also ran pretty much perfectly (Project 64, I believe I used).

Of course running on PSP is going to have problems because of hardware limitations. But on PC, it should be perfect.

The only time I had some issues was emulating certain PS1 games because of some sort of triangle error due to some hardware difference between the PS1 chip and the PC, or something. But most PS1 games worked perfectly too.

Get it for XBLA. It's the same great game, with a smoother frame rate, great controls and better graphics. I still like the N64 version better, because you can have 8 simulants in the Combat Simulator, in the XBLA arcade version you can only have like 4 or 5 simulants.

Did they add true dual analog for the XBLA version, or did they just bind the movement to up/down/left/right

I hate hearing stories like this. why even get a dog?? you should care for a dog almost like you would a child. would you put your kid in a cage. i hope not

years ago we had some neighbors who tied their dog up outside. on the cement during the summertime. no shade, no blanket. and it would just bark allll day. shit if that was going on today i'd call animal control pretty damn quick

yeah :/
we've called the town on them a few times. unfortunately i don't think there is enough of a case for animal control. but they sure are torturing that poor dog

we don't get why they got it either... maybe its a cheap security system in their mind? they never ever play with it so i just dont understand. they let it shit in the cage and then they just hose the shit off the deck each day, i don't even think they take it for a walk.

Dinosaur Comics is the same 6 panels every time and is way more dialogue-focused than anything else. It's kind of hit and miss these days but from like 05-08 is gold

I wouldn't exactly call Tim Buckley's abortion a "comic" per se. More like an extremely bad novel superimposed over some copy-pasted clip-art.

EDIT: Also, I didn't know dinosaur comics was still running.
