the audio has a high dynamic range for home theater systems that have good speakers seated farther away from the listener. if you have a sound card or certain media players you can turn on normalization / compression to reduce the distance between the high and low volume making it more listenable.

also youd better be sure you dont have like a stereo system and are playing in 5.1 mode, or you have a 5.1 system and have the middle speaker lower in volume than the rest, etc.
