mentioned this before but the worst thing about the show is that every episode is filled with like 700 idiotic 'humourous' analogies. the eps i've seen do get information across well, but they don't do anything with it. it's the pinnacle of self-satisfied preaching to the converted media, which is saying a LOT

I've only seen bits of John Oliver's programme, but from what i've seen it's about on par with Russell Howard's political sections.... Which isn't a compliment.
