I'm glad they went with the 30-degree angle of the stern sinking during the last couple minutes for the sake of accuracy. But I can understand why james cameron decided to portray a 90-degree angle decline for his movie. It's a lot more dramatic and interesting. People who whine about historical inaccuracy in movies don't realize that bending the truth usually makes history a lot more interesting on film.

Also, I've been waiting for a game like this since the 90s. I got this game when it was released around the same time as 3dmm:



It has a wacky storyline. You start off in your apartment during WW2 and then, as it's getting bombed by nazis, travel back in time to the titanic! Because the secret to preventing hitler's rise is on the ship. Pretty deep concept and it keeps you engaged throughout the whole game. The graphics were also really decent. The interior of the ship looked 100% photo accurate. The compromise was the frame rate and a lot of choose-your-own-adventure style gameplay / interaction with goofy passengers. Nothing wrong with that but I've always wanted a full sandbox simulation of the titanic. The devs did an amazing job considering the limitations of technology at the time. It had some semi-sandbox gameplay but this new game should allow you to be a passenger and have complete freedom as the ship is sinking. Different actions at different points in the 2 hour window resulting in whether you survive or not. You could replay the simulation over many times and analyze the different outcomes. Hopefully they will design it that way and also release a 9/11 simulation in a few years.
