the human mind works in such a way that when it's presented with a statement it immediately accepts the statement as true. then through mental effort you have to decide whether or not to reject the statement. that's why people who are confused, stressed or just dumb are more easily persuaded; they lack the mental will or strength to hold their stance. That's how cops get false confessions sometimes. They scream in someone's face for ten hours, 'you did it.' then the accused will inexplicably confess to something they know they didn't do. It's about breaking them down mentally, wearing away their ability to reject whatever you're saying. The most obvious example in history is Hitler repeating over and over, jews are bad. Eventually people were convinced. and Hitler knew full-well it was a matter of persistence in converting people to his view.

so if you're reading Time or NYT all the time and nothing else, hearing Hilary's great, oh Hilary's great. Israel good. Palestine bad. You might forget why you believed any differently

and I'm not saying this to you Chris in particular. I don't know what you read for news. But there are plenty of people out there who read big American news sources exclusively, and say, "yeah I'm aware of the bias, so I'm not affected by it." but there's the human fallacy to think just because you are aware of a bias that you are impervious to it. and I'm saying that that's not true.

so careful what you read

yeah, anyone that gets their news from 1 source is doomed. same with almost any news source, or even shit like Reddit. but the NYT is great for anyone else

I think so.

Maybe he was frustrated over the confusing traffic patterns.

Its also likely that maybe he got sodomized by an ECU Pirate that was summoned by some Goatspin addict, and committed suicide over that.

Really a testament to how good they are that I still laugh after 10-15 years. Most movies don't pass that test, let alone internet videos

What about an offer you can't refuse?

Abe Vigoda died this year because he agreed to an offer he couldn't refuse.

After seeing his last sketch as Bernie, I can safely say Larry David acts a lot more like Trump than he does Sanders (and even talks more like Trump in some instances). I'd love to have a sketch of him playing Trump.
