I was punched in the face a few times in high school, not hard though. also I deserved it

basically my roommate is a bit of a hot-head. I've been hard up for cash lately so I sold a guitar utility that was owned by the both of us(I paid for about 70% of it) my plan was to get it back eventually without him knowing about it seeing as I was the only one who ever used it, but he found that I sold it and flew off the handle. I hate fighting, especially if im in the wrong so I essentially just let him take a swing at me. basically our relationship had been a bit rocky leading up to this so it was a combination of things.

well i love tight funk. but that is just so close to the original james brown that i'd rather listen to the originals. that song is almost Sex Machine with a new horn section layered over it. not like theyre trying to hide it or anything, but i just cant personally get into that.



of course id be really into it if i was drunk at a bar or something though, just wouldnt get an album.

for me to listen to straight funk today, it has to sound somewhat original and like its from today. there were a few kinda neat straight funk bands from today that i'd listened to, but i forget who they were...
mostly now i listen to funky electronic music/beats, and if i want straight funk i go to the old stuff
