Well, no remake has ever been necessary. The only remake that hasn't made me want to stab myself in the fucking eyes was "The Mummy", and it was so disconnected from the original that it can hardly be called a remake at all.

Is there a trick to get it to change? I think I remember being able to do it before, but I can't seem to will it away from going clockwise right now.

i never was able to do it on command even using the foot trick, i just have to look away and hope i see it the other way when i look back. the only way i could do it on-command was by looking at an explanation gif like

and I can't make her change without one, just always goes clockwise. even after I look and see the other direction it changes back pretty fast.

as kyle said, looking at the foot makes it much easier, i like seeing how quickly i can alternate between the different spins, usually takes a matter of seconds
