Futurama has been consistent since launch.

I think people are starting to go all Simpson's Complex on it. OLD IS BETTER HUR HUR HUR.

the episode where there's billions of micro benders forming into one BIG BENDER to fight that big ugly monster was hilarious

LET THIS BE A LESSON TO YOU FOR ATTACKING THOSE MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN ONESELF!

when futurama came back, the first few episodes, with the ones where leela and zapp do that adam and eve stuff, and the ipad/susan 'boil' shit. those were terrible. but they must have just been rusty, because the latter half of that season had some great episodes.

also, i watched the one where it's mating season for zoidberg earlier, and only just picked up on this gem:

Quote:
Dr Zoidberg: What am I going to do about my male-jelly now?
Fry: (lifts up his severed hand) I'll lend you this.

Haha that boil episode was pretty awful, but only because of that gag.

But I mean come on Futurama has terrible episode scattered in every season.

I had the first 3 seasons on VHS box sets, so haven't watched them in ages, and would catch them on TV where they would obviously censor certain parts, most notably when the word bastard is used. only recently have they been showing them fully uncensored (despite being aired before 9pm which is interesting). so this might well be the first time I saw that clip post-puberty.

it's interesting how getting used to the pacing of the censored versions, seeing the parts with the uncensored parts included, those parts seem like an unnecessary add-on, dragging out the joke for no particular reason. like when farnsworth re-assured bender that countess survived the black hole and is all NOT A CHANCE, they cut straight to the next bit, but when they include the bit where he pretends to be hanged, it's like yeah did they even need that? the cut down version worked so much better but w/e

last futurama i saw before this new season was the movie one with amy's family in for the majority. i can't even remember what happened but i switched off halfway through.

Also, Walter White seems like he's drunk on power. I can't wait.

I haven't watched anything from the Legend of Korra. Is it good?

I like a lot of it, there's some parts I don't, overall, It's a slightly more polished TLA with worse acting

one thing i miss is that in Opera it would save the info for EVERY username/password field

Chrome doesn't for like half the sites i go to (i think because sites can include autocomplete=0 for security reasons?)

so much more typing

There's some really weird things from HTML5 that chrome doesn't support for some reason

and a lot of things that only Opera supports

I do not understand this at all

oh my god and Google absolutely refuses to implement the simplest things

i can't STAND this auto-complete in the address bar based on your past searches. it suggests shit i only wanted to search once, and it places it automatically in my search, meaning if i typed "chrome extensions" earlier, and now i go to search "chrome" and press enter, it will search "chrome extensions" unless i hit backspace first

tons of people complained about this in endless threads, and Google has clearly stated "we will not implement a feature to disable autocomplete". their reasoning is that they don't want to clutter the UI with endless options, and that adding more and more options would cause performance problems, WHAT A JOKE OF AN ANSWER

i'm thinking of trying Firefox even though it was the whole reason i first switched to Opera

doesn't seem to do that in Firefox. I don't understand why everyone hates Firefox all of a sudden. it's never given me any trouble.

i only dropped firefox because there was this rare crazy bug i got (although i found like 10 threads with other people that had it) where it would crash the nvidia driver, sometimes recoverable but usually a BSOD. i think it happened only on Flash pages. i got rid of all extensions and uninstalled/reinstalled flash and the nvidia drivers and it still happened. switched to Opera and it never happened again.

but by now i doubt i'd see this problem so maybe its time to return to the ol' fox. but i do like Chrome. i just wish Google didn't think they know what is best when clearly page after page of users are requesting a simple option that every other browser has.
