A pencil and rubber bands? Come on. I'm normally pretty open minded but that seems silly.

Either the bottles can be distorted/opened somehow, the objects can be assembled from smaller pieces (like when you build ships inside bottles), or the objects are not really what they appear to be - they're maybe made of something malleable, for example.

Is there any verification that it's a genuine pack of cards inside there?

Our venerable curator has gone nearly blind with a magnifying glass but has failed to find any sign of breaks or glue in this plank. It is a One Gallon Bottle and the plank measures about 14 cm x 12.5 cm x 1.8 cm thick.

We can confirm that there are no signs of breaks or glue, our ALMOST BLIND curator examined it!

OK, so the wood didn't have a break in it. Do they know for sure that it's actually wood? It could just be some spongey material. Anyway, he probably has a way of opening the bottle or widening the neck.

If you keep reading he explains how it's done.

A pack of cards in a bottle is not complicated, just time consuming. Just put each card and the empty pack in one at a time, and re-assmble in the bottle.

Pencil and a rubber band are sticky enough to allow you to slide the cards around and get them in the pack.

Waiting for this year's equivalent.

Best comment: "Why do I imagine him having the same messed up pose as the avatar off-screen?"
