The Nintendo Wii

Wow.
Christ.
Fucking hell.
Ugh.
Lame.

Is this what its become now? Is it just entirely fitness and dieting software? I haven't played my Wii for at least 3 months now, and I'm totally out of the loop.

When was the last time a good game came out on the Wii? The last one I remember was Madworld, which was AGES ago.

I dunno, I'm not surprised. Its just using the console like a computer. But in a way that is pretty pointless. But I'd expect MORE random programs like this to be on console, especially Wii, by this point.

edit: I posted this when there was only 1 link, to the 1st program.

I don't get what is surprising. A fitness game did really well on the Wii, so loads of companies are attempting to cash in.
Then there are more games aimed at children on the Wii, because it is the system that is geared toward "everyone", not just gamers.

What is the last good game for Wii? I dunno, I just looked quick on there and saw Beatles: Rock Band came out for it recently, supposedly its OK.

Obviously the console that sells the best is going to have the most quick cash-in titles.

I just picked up Muramasa over the weekend. I haven't had much time to play it yet, but it's pretty sweet so far. Other games I've enjoyed so far this year include ExciteBots, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, and Wii Sports Resort. Punch Out is supposed to be really fucking good from what I've heard, and I'm looking forward to New Super Mario Bros Wii and A Boy and His Blob later this year.

Early next year we've got Mario Galaxy 2, No More Heroes 2, and Red Steel 2, which all look pretty sweet. Then we've got The Grinder, the new Metroid, and the new Zelda at some eventual point down the road.

Sorry, I meant like, WII only. I could just get Beatles on my Xbox. And I did.

The Wii definitely has not reached the potential that it had going for it. However I'm a casual enough console gamer to not really notice.

I really don't know why the Wii gets so much crap. LOT of great games for it so far and like HMC said, more to come. Yeah of course there are the shitty fitness ones, who gives a damn.

But I have a severe difference in taste than most on this board, so I'll be quiet.

I dunno, the way I see it, the wii has shitty fitness and cooking games, and the others have buzz and singstar.

so anyways, I've still got my wii, but I also bought a ps3 which I use all the fuckin time now

I still play grand slam tennis a fucking lot. It is the game that really completely justified buying the wii for me.

Don't forget you've also got the whole gamecube library you can play on it. Although tracking down GCN games these days is a nightmare. MGS: Twin Snakes goes for like $200AUD on eBay. You can't get it anywhere else.

Gamecube had some great games

I still play Soul Calibur 2, Burnout 2, Mario Kart: Double Dash, and Resident Evil 4 on it when friends are over.

If you bought a Wii and didn't realize you would be getting one really awesome game every three or four months and the rest of the games would range from enjoyable to devil's-asshole terrible, then you don't deserve to complain.
