40Convert Version 2.2
Shwill's Avatar
Description:
The new and improved version of 40C! Now you can convert named files!

For those of you who don't know, 40Convert was a simple batch file that I wrote because it took too long to type out all the commands to convert the BMDL's to OBJ's and back again, especially when doing this with all the parts. 40C was able to convert up to 40 files... just so long as they were numbered (as in 1.bmdl, 2.bmdl, 3.bmdl, all the way up to 40). So Jayrod took my original idea and used a program used to make games or menus or whatever you want to make the new version. With it, you can customize it a little bit by changing the background and border colors. But the main new feature is that you can convert named files, but only one at a time. It's still faster than typing it all into the command line, so it's all good. You can also convert more or less than 40 with numbered names.

Here's a preview:

Thanks, Jayrod for being able to squeeze this into your schedule!

I have a version 2.3 of 40Convert made... but is Shwill still around? I'd hate to release it without informing him first. Guess I can go ahead and say what I did straight from the Read Me:
"To convert all your bmdls or objs simply hit the convert button and it will automatically convert all bmdls/objs.
After a conversion, it would be a good idea to move the models to a folder (such as Alexander, for example, if it contains Alexander parts.)
There is NO custom window and NO customization here. I cleared away the pointless things.
So with this you get a converter that does just that."
Fixed a bug if you try to convert a file with spaces in it, it wouldn't work properly (I forgot to add quotes around the words to make them a STRING.) but yeh, you can use any filename for your files...
I'm gonna try Shwill's e-mail, if he has one set.

Hey Jayrod, do you still have that? If so, I think you should post it (and credit him).

I do not. In time however Chunk Explorer will incorporate conversion to and from using code I've written myself. I'll try to push for these features as soon as I can.
