My Laptop Stopped Booting

But don't worry! I got it back today!

I had the store backup my HDD which is now in a file on my desktop.

But now all the bootlegged apps and legit apps that I have installed won't run.

I'll have to reinstall everything!

And a friend of mine whom I don't see much anymore downloaded a legit, community college copy of Office Enterprise 2007 because he freelances for some community colleges and it's in the folder of the apps that won't boot.

And I have shit in there I need to finish!

Fuck. Technology.
I can't have anything fucking nice.
:ispissed (you need to make one of those fucking Goat!)

Really though... any ideas?
Details of what happened are my HDD stopped working. My Laptop was under warranty to they guys at Fry's Electronics backed the HDD up then sent it in to Fujitsu. The HDD got replaced and they just dropped the files in a folder onto my drive. I really don't want to have to go through the nonsense of contacting my buddy to install Office again and to then install all my old programs and shit again.
Is there ANYTHING I can that anyone knows?
Can I not run a .bak for my boot sector or fuck with the regisrty to make all these work!?
WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE SO FUCKING DIFICULT!?

what. we need more details. what kind of file is it backed up as. an image?

also what was the error message when it stopped booting? chances are it was a really easy to solve problem with xp. so if they had an exact image you could just replicate that and fix it. or whatever

The error was that it stopped booting. BIOS would run through then just chill at loading Windows.

It looks like they just pulled everything of the drive, saved it, then when my machine came back from the OEM they just moved onto my hard drive.

Then have a look inside:

Then all my programs and stuff are here:

you probably have to reinstall everything. registry entries etc are all lost but necessary. right

why is office a deal, its available everywhere and open office is just as good
