In case you haven't noticed, "free service" may not be gimmick-free. And sometimes gimmicks brainwash listeners, hahaha!

Why is it whenever some asshole doesn't have an actual basis for their argument YOU'RE the one who's brainwashed if you disagree?

Well, that kind of illogical disagreeing over my activism may indicate that gimmicky garbage on the airwaves can really confuse people about activism. Also, I would understand the prevailing nature of undesirable services better if somebody explained advantages that I couldn't brainstorm. And explaining a basis for arguments against my activism would also help point out flaws in a more constructive manner.

Okay. Radio. Never had a problem with it. Always get good reception, the stations in my area are actually not bad at all. They play good music, have good DJ's, manage to entertain, inform, and make my day go by so much faster. I drive a car for 8 hours a day, so believe me, I listen to a lot of radio. It's not just for music. That's what I see you're failing to grasp. You get news, local and world. You get traffic reports, which is infinitely useful when driving. You get that sort of pot luck feel with the music that comes on. You even get chances to win free tickets to concerts, win money, vacations, the list goes on. Radio is a collaborative medium that includes more than one person. Using digital music that will only apply to you, is limited. While it IS convenient when you want to hear a certain song, it's a very socially introverted tool. Radio, on the other hand afford you the chance to have the exchange of ideas, opinions, and goods. So, now, tell me. How do those compare?

completely valid. When I used to hook up my ipod to my car I found that I would grow tired of all my music after a while.

Having it mostly randomized on the radio makes it such a treat, plus there's always the possibility that a new artist or new song will come on that you've never heard before, thus expanding your palette of musical interests.

...And basically everything mentioned up above.

Although I disagree with the traffic report part. When I'm on the highway there's no traffic ever because of the lack of vehicle randomization

(LEGAL) FREE MUSIC. OTHER VARIED ENTERTAINMENT. VARIETY IN GENERAL. SPORTS BROADCASTS. NEWS. PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS (TORNADO IN AREA OR WHATEVER). LOCAL WEATHER AND TRAFFIC. ABILITY TO JUST TURN IT THE FUCK OFF IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT FOR SOME REASON.

again, how is this not like protesting against the peppermints you get with your check at restaurants?

1) Radio is a free service, unlike iPods that are way overpriced.

2) Nobody is forcing anyone to listen to radio. If you don't like it, ignore it.

3) Wanting to ban a free service that many people enjoy is retarded.

4) I don't think you know what "gimmicky" means.

Yes, but gimmicky radio signals do not contain AP music, such as those located in Bill Nye, Rocko, Ren & Stimpy, and The Adventures of Pete & Pete. These permeate fond memorabilia in and/or around my cerebral cortex and frontal lobe. The only distinct advantage radio airwaves convey is the ability to experience them whilst observing and critiquing the varying forms of vehicle randomization that God has to display on the outstretching highways in our modern industrious United States of America.

I do such extensive research for products on the internet, that I know what's wise and what's not.

If it wasn't for research (e.g. reading Wikipedia, pricing products and brainstorming unanticipated applications of use, and brainstorming ancillery advantages), I wouldn't be enjoying technology as much as I am now. I just thought a clever ad would send out a valuable message.

Samurai Clinton sure loves to brainstorm!

I guess all those storms at least explain why his mind has seemingly deteriorated. This is ridiculous

I liked how there were two Heffers at the beginning. I liked that there was only one radio station and since it didn't work they were forced to listen to static, because both bringing an ipod and using the radio is out of the question.

We shouldn't forget Clinton's original case against radio ugly, that it misrepresents our tastes in music! When Steve Miller or the Beatles come on the radio, I immediately judge the person driving the car as it being their favorite music. In all likelihood they do not have broad or apathetic music tastes, and secretly want to listen to the theme from Good Burger. But since they don't have an ipod I'll never know!

Thank you for being on my side. And thank you for being an activist on this case. But, I think this "Well Heff, you should have brought your iPod with you" illustrates activism.
