I'm a little too tired to do it right now, but I'll work on encoding it for youtube tomorrow. Sorry for the delay, I know it's extremely MIDI-heavy.

BTW, to other encoders, I think my framerate was slightly fast when I made the finale and a few other sections, so it's probably best if I encode this. The music cue at the end of the finale actually hits every time for me.

Uh, Aaron, you credited me as doing Moments Earlier 4. I didn't make that one. I only did the 8th one.

Agreed. I loved that one.

And we definitely need to do a "sequel" with more entries from these themes, and new ones. Too bad I have no ideas for new ones... We need a woman with a power/predicament, though. This movie is a total sausage fest.

Hahahah, I tried to make Eliza into a recurring character partly for that reason. I think I was trying to do something with Christina at one point, too, but whatever it was didn't work.

You're right, that should've been Russ Stepan. I animated the flipping/panning credits once and imported groups of them at a time, so I must've forgotten to change your name on one. I'll fix it and re-upload later.

haha everything i was gonna say has already been said multiple times already.
Some really clever stuff, and i feel clever and bummed out that an awesome idea i thought of wasn't made

kinda wished the names were in a corner so i knew who did what rather than the rushing credits, haha, but maybe that would of got in the way

I did it in an early test, but it completely changed the feel of the movie. I figured if the credits all had screencaps it'd make up for it.

Well I went ahead and watched it (even though I had to minimize and load it back up at about every other scene). And I have to say that it was absolutely fantastic. Humor ranging from random silly to downright witty, and always top notch. HMC's W and Aaron's ending were definitely the highlights for me. The character portraits were awesome. Everything was fast, smooth, well done, this is about the highest quality entertainment that one could get out of 3dmm.

Lol! You're acting like we're at the after party of the Academy Awards after everyone won an Oscar.

Like dan said, everyone has already said everything I wanted to say! That's the problem getting in late in a review thread.

This was fantastic! i was enjoying, and I looked down at the scene slider and... YES! it's only half over?!?!? Yeah! it went for a long time, and never got old!

My favourite setup was the charlie testing chamber, it was very 'loony toons'

Now, I'm not gonna insult Aaron by saying this would be 'easy', but I'm thinking it could be easily done again, as in, it's not the big of an ask to get people to animate basic 30 second clips. Asking for that is much more realistic than expecting a single person to release a 20 min epic.

3dmm has pretty much reached its peak, we can do anything now. Import pictures, actors, new actions, scenery, whatever. If people wanna spend the time to make a massive impressive project, they can. But, this is so much easier and fun. So many people contributed! I'm sure some of the people who sent stuff in havn't even opened 3dmm in months, possibly years.

I personally think 3dmm is on it's last legs, but projects like this are what can keep it alive. So simple to make, so funny and entertaining. And for people who have been here for 5+ years, the nostalga helps the entertainment value. Seeing stuff like Vlarion remake and the like makes you just laugh more when you cab be entertained by just using 3dmm's basic features.... and I know that contrasts with entries like HMC, but that's also a good thing. To be able to go from old 3dmm to new 3dmm seemlessly and still be entertained.

This was such an ambitious project, it's really quiet amazing that Aaron pulled it off. The way he's been talking about having 4 versions and all the remakes, and making his own entries to make it flow, it's amazing.

The finale` was incredible. It was jaw dropping, but I guess that's just Aaron's way these days. We all have to sit back and envy his 3dmm talent, that's when we're not watching Goro bring a cartoon frog to life with a few spheres. But back on track, the ending was amazing, but it could have worked without it! I'm not saying I didn't like it being there, but if it wasn't there, I wouldn't have missed it. I'm thinking aside from the editing, that this sequence was a lot of work. I'm thinking of the future and new compilations, they wouldn't NEED an amazing finish like this to work, so it would be less of a huge task for whoever wanted to take it on.

I hope I can be part of the next one. I need a computer. I saw this one being made, as in the thread and the entries, and I was stuck on a laptop with no mouse, so hopefully if there is a sequel, I can be involved. (tho the shoutout/tribute to 'Baked goods' was a pleasant surprise, cheers!)

So I think I've ranted enough...

Awesome movie, good work all! I'm off now to watch the extras

True enough, but at the same time, until people are aware of what kind of project it will be, they can be reluctant to actually open 3DMM and do it. Sometimes it's a lot of work just getting people to watch a movie, much less sit down for 20-30 mintues and make a clip. However, if you're persistent, yes, this is not as big of a commitment for other people as a traditional chain movie.

(It is a big commitment for the organizer, though -- I did 57 clips including the finale and it was a huge challenge to make it work as one movie, so I'll happily let someone else take charge of the next one )

Sweet! Glad that came across, there's a sort of "3DMM: The Movie" aspect to this that I noticed as I was making the finale and intro sequences, when I realized that these gags in and of themselves are a lot like everyone's first movies. Each one is kind of a "splot machine" idea if you think about it, a character plus a prop (or another character), and the different directions it can go in, so I tried to pay homage to that with the objects dropping in during the title sequence and the cameos in the finale.

Hahaha, thanks, and yeah, I know what you mean. I was thinking of a much smaller finale originally, maybe a minute long, but it was always gonna be three stages, and then the songs I picked out worked better at 40 seconds to a minute, so it just kept on building. If someone else takes on the next one, I'll happily do a finale for it as well.

Thanks a ton for the comments

There's nothing to "get" really. It's something me, my cousin, and his friends do sometimes when we're sitting around, someone says it and it gets everyone started.

It's weird and it has its own internal logic, so it seemed like the perfect way to start this off.

I remember when I first got the original 3DMM, my first film was terrible but amusing.

I did have an actual "fancy" v3dmm movie once that showed off my skills (IE more advanced than those short ones) but it got lost... and I haven't been in the mood/bothered to go out my way in a long time so now I just contribute small this and that to chains like these.
