2004, Movie, Comedy, Directed by Mr Mong
Three friends decide it's time to get jobs.

New Shoes 2 is already a forgotten movie that was released in the Summer Film Festival 2004. Why? One of the reasons is because the director did not use the ideas to their full potential. Picture this, three guys decide to get jobs, and they just happen to find one each. Since they are a bunch of retards, they do their jobs retardedly (as one would expect). Cue plenty of hilarious jokes. Now from that, New Shoes 2 sounds very amusing, but unfortunately it is not as funny as it could have been.

The three jobs are as follows: a burger flipper, a paper boy and an actor. Two out of the three were disappointing to watch, one shone out; that's not a very good ratio. Despite one or two smirks, the burger flipper and the paper boy sections were a bit on the unfunny side, but credit to the director, he made the actor part work. I literally laughed out loud when the (pretty lame) film director shouted "OHH THE INTENSITY!" and I really did find the stupidness of the actual filming entertaining and funny, which was helped by the great voice provided by James Burgon for the dumb film director. But that was one job out of THREE. It is a shame, because if the other two were just as funny, this could have been a potential hit. OK, I know the animations and scenery aren't up to scratch, but comedies are not all about that. They are about making people laugh, and if Mr. Mong pulled this off throughout the whole movie, this could have been great.

After a mediocre first half of the movie, followed by a hilarious third quarter, we then come to the ending, and boy was it disappointing. It just ended in one click, so suddenly. It was not funny, nor interesting, nor entertaining to watch, and to put it in three words, it was pants. New Shoes 2 is still worth the download, just don't expect anything special. There will be quite a few places where you will chuckle and laugh, but you have to get through the dull parts first and get used to the contrasting voice volumes. You could do a lot worse.

Oh, and stay put at the end to see Marvin's hilarious film. It ends in style.
