This review contains some spoilers.
After the success of 3DMM Evil Episode 02 in the box office, reaching second place, Klaymen is back with number three. This beats Episodes 01 and 02 in almost every single category, and it shows that Klaymen has improved a lot since the beginning of the series. First of all, let's talk about the guests. Somehow, Klaymen has managed to get JP and Daniel Martin on his show! I personally think that this is the best line-up of the series so far, and their interviews did not disappoint. JP's interview was pretty good, talking about the Doom series and his later projects (before it deteriorates in a good way, quite hilariously) and it definitely entertained me. They also briefly talked about the movies in the Summer Film Festival, with Pamela, SATANIK and KRB Revival getting a mention. And shortly afterwards, Daniel Martin is interviewed. Actor's Day and The Prowling are discussed here, with JDR Requiem being touched slightly. There is also an Actor's Day clip (which was originally meant to be exclusive) and we get to see a little teaser of Necromon, an evil-looking hand-made character who is to appear in JDR Requiem. There were also a couple of funny lines chipped in too, and it was a delight to listen to this interview. Both interviews were great, and I can't wait to see who is going to appear in the next 3DMM Evil show. In my review of 3DMM Evil Episode 02, I commented on how disappointing the skits were. Well, no problem here! Most of the skits were based on the battle between 3dmmers United, with Tom Bown and Doughboy, and Klaymen. I liked how the Golden Klaymen was used in these skits, and there were plenty of funny bits where I smiled or where I chuckled at. But, looking at the other skits, although only a couple seconds long, the Michael Jackson clip seemed a bit old, and I really didn't have much of a clue what was going on in the B.E.T. skit. Who cares though? Most of the effort has obviously been put into the 3dmmers United vs. 3DMM Evil war, and that gets a thumbs up from me. So, the interviews and the skits impressed, but is there anything else for me to say? How about the little Bug Force teaser? 3DMM Evil Episode 03 gave a short glimpse of a well-made red bug, and it was very intruiging. Now, I look forward to the release of the Bug Force opening in the Winter Film Festival 2004. With experience under his belt, Klaymen has made a superb episode. Remember this from my Episode 01 review? "This could well be the start of something really special". Well, 3DMM Evil is getting close. Episode three is the best one to date, and if the director can keep improving, who knows how good this can become. Oh, just one more thing, did you know Klaymen liked Sir Mixalot...? Score: 81/100 |
