Awesome stuff there Anders.
The effects were absolutely stunning, (the blood and dirt ones especially) it's those little things that just add to whole feel of it all. Camera work was obviously hit perfectly, nice subtle use of angles and the hummer part had some awesome movement, the scenery was yet another great addition although some scenes did appear to be a bit sloppy at times.

Great film. Bit short, but who cares? It was a fun as hell.

Thanks! Yeah it was supposed to be a whole film but I totally forgot about my trip to Denmark so I have to make it into two episodes. If it weren't for the trip it'd be a whole.

Don't worry about it, it was pretty damn fucking good in itself.

I find the lack of feedback disturbing, what's the point in still making movies when there's no audience?

that was awesome; the effects, the animation, the scenery and pretty much everything (though the voices were abit off at times, especcially with the low quality microphone on the guard) all worked greatly. MAKE MORE.

This was awesome. This is essentially (once part 2 comes out) one of the most impressive PAMS you're gonna get nowadays. The best thing about it is that it is high octane but Anders' animation has a reserved quality. He has the good sense to recognise there are 4 frames to a second instead of the professional 25 so the fact that you can see everything that actually happens is an absolute joy. And generally I'm in awe because there are subtle animations that I'm actually not particularly confident about myself. Anders can make flying dirt and blood particles look gorgeous without even having to animate them to a enormous extent. Which is nice.

Man, to capitalise on this fully you should complete and release part 2 ASAP. Not that I think that would prove problematic as this looks like the kind of film I've wanted to make for years. Fun filmmaking. People that don't download this are missing out on probably the first good release in six months.

PS. As for the lack of audience I agree. This is a defining factor in the decline of well made movies. People: GET IN HERE AND SHOW YOUR SUPPORT.

The more I watched that movie the more I wanted it to go on for another half hour.

Fantastic camera angle's very good animation which I already new it would be.

i liked the 'speed effects'. the animation was good overall, not really much more to say about it. it's pointless action, it did what i expected.
the fading scene transitions didn't seem to fit.

looking forward to more stuff.

Yeah the animation in this was awesome. I think I remember hearing this wasn't going to be a 2-parter initially and it does kind of show, this was more buildup than action for a PAM. But yeah it looked great and was very stylish.

Great movie, a little short for my tastes (I hate that 'to be continued' or whatever crap because even if it will in this case, rarely are 3dmm movies actually continued). Good animation, very entertaining; my favorite part was when Bongo said, "Oh, ok, feel free to blow me to bits now" or something close to that, maybe I'll watch it again just to make sure...

Amusing but truncated. And had a really frustrating pace to it. 90% of the runtime was pauses before a quick moment of action, and sometimes you'd have several 10-frame pauses obviously trying to set up a major kinetic moment, but they'd be stacked on top of each other. As a result I was agitated through most of the runtime, waiting for a lot of great animated moments but instead seeing Gustave holding a gun to someone's face for 10 frames, then hovering in midair for 10 frames, or frozen in midstep for 10 frames, then someone's stunned reaction shot for 10 frames, then black screen for 10 frames, then...you get the idea. It's all anticipation and no release. He kills like two people and then the movie's over.

What's good here is definitely good, and the body impacts and blood/dirt splatters are well done and have a unique style (I like the Special Force vehicle coming over the hill). But you need to actually follow through. Go back to your favorite PAM inspirations (or even some of your older ones) and see what they did right. Look especially at your Round 3 animation - not a single wasted frame, the buildup/release ratio was perfect. I think this has promise, but the pacing was way off and you'd obviously rather hover around an exciting moment than actually deliver one.

I don't want to bash, as this is the first release since Rayman and you need the inspiration, but the entire time I was thinking, "Yes, and...?"

Yeah you're right on pretty much everything you just said. I'll definitely have this in mind when making part 2. The reason I used those black screen pauses was because I had recieved critic from other releases that some sequences were too fast on the eye. So the whole idea was to let the viewers gather up what just happened.

That was alright, but far too slow paced for a PAM.

I basically echo what Aaron said. It's neat and all, but there's nothing about it that was really fun to watch. It was kind of a disappointment. Hopefully you'll get it right with part two.

Yeah, I liked this.
It was pretty well done, and it's amount of details was just right.
The only down fall I can see is the fact it was split into 2 parts. I know you didn't have any other choice, but yeah.

7/10

I actually really liked this, but it was such a bummer to see a 'continued' slapped to the end. This really needs to be finished, and it needs to be finished now.

I loved a lot of the things about this. Even the cityscape was impressive.. the angles were great, and the buildings were really nice. One of my favorite parts was actually the opening logo. The bullet through ACTION really worked well and didn't seem old for whatever reason. You must've spent some time making sure that was very visually pleasing.

The action itself was a mixed bag. I know you are capable of incredible things, but most of the runtime was static imagery or building action, as others have said. I also had a few problems with how the movie is self aware. It just doesn't strike me as funny when we are handed humor on a silver platter, like Random Building and the dialogue with the cop. Subtle hints and tongue-in-cheek easter eggs are great, but this just isn't a practice that I am a big fan of unless handled very delicately. Also, the other big issue I had was that the hero was not a hero at all, not even an anti-hero. Just a single-purpose character who would otherwise be identified as a villain.

But as I said, the beginning was very slick, and I loved the scenery. There were some good ideas brewing that I'd like to see you capitalize on. It's good when I feel sad that the movie has come to an end.. as long as you finish it!! The part where it was finally about to become a PAM hadn't even hit yet!
