First, you've done something that's becoming far too common. You've not included a preview image. This is not difficult or time-consuming to do, you don't need upload space, and it significantly raises the chances that someone will watch your movie on account of looking more professional. Movies with no screenshot and one line of text accompanying them look like newbie releases done in an hour that aren't worth bothering with. The preview image is the first thing that will catch someone's eye. No preview image makes YOU look lazy, and the movie look like the director doesn't care much about it.

This is not an assault on you, personally -- this is me finally communicating something that has irritated me for the past year, but people don't seem to get. PLEASE add a preview image. There is a tutorial on how to do it here: http://www.3dmm.com/showthread.php?t=17207. You can edit your first post in this thread and add one now. Please do this.

Hahah very interesting, someone with your approach to making films should be pretty refreshing. For the camera cuts though, like moving in on objects, I couldn't help thinking it would have looked better with like 1 frame of black screen diving the cuts, it would have fit the black and white style and made the movements less obviously "drag closer" if you get what I mean. But yeah very promising.

With that said, this was interesting and whatever "decayed print" effect you've got on here really adds a unique look to the proceedings. I didn't find anything particularly insightful about it, and if you were trying to communicate some kind of theme about life, it came across as pretty pretentious. However, I took it more as trying to evoke a mood, and it's sort of interesting to watch from that angle. The final caption made me roll my eyes, though. It reminds me of that Family Guy gag about independent student films, where Diane lounges around for 20 seconds, then a clown flips a pancake.

It's either a great send-up of that kind of thing, or a great example of that kind of thing. I kind of hope it's the former, but either way, it has an interesting visual look for 3dmm.

Thanks alot for the feedback guys. I was expecting some really bad feedback haha. I try and give a more bizarre and subliminal feeling to what I put across, I dont know if I did it so well with this movie but I will improve

thanks again.

To tell the truth, that was pretty average. It wasn't really interesting, at all, but not bad for a first attempt.
And Aaron: That "decayed print effect" is just 'film age - older' from Windows Movie Maker.

I thought I could release it through here as well as film fest. I must seem like a total newbie :S

to jims comments, I tried to make it more simple in it's telling and visualy so it would be recognised for simplicity as opposed to amazing animation and so on. I do need to improve on alot of aspects mind

ignore this smug balls-for-brains, it only means there'll be less movies to distract attention from the utter piece of shit he's planning on releasing for the festival...

JUST KIDDING

Pretty good, I sorta like these abstract movies in 3dmm, simply because it seems like a concept that could never work with this software. Consequently, when it isn't a train wreck, you know that there is definitely some real talent and skill behind it. Well done.

BTW, I added a screenshot for you. Remember to do this next time so your entry will be displayed in the movie showcase on the front page. We only showcase movies with screenshots attached to them.

I thought this movie was visually brilliant. Not brilliant like Vlarion or Rayman brilliant, in that epic sort of way, but brilliant as in all artsy and intriguing. And who cares if it doesn't makes sense, I listen to Radiohead.

Nice direction. Although there was no apparent message, it was still intersting.
