Kill ugly radio!

OK people, have you ever noticed alot of MP3 players on the market? Well, the reason for that question is because I have been frustrated with radio's programming (i.e. hearing ballads when you only want to hear upbeat music along with unsightly commercials). What we should do is protest radio for all the frustration it has caused me.

So please, join this MySpace group:

Have you also seen Frank Zappa's quote "kill ugly radio"? Ironically, Frank Zappa died before MP3 players (which have the potential to replace radio) even hit the market.

Good plan dude! If I get more people to join the aforementioned MySpace group; it will represent how stupid FM radio has become for removing techno dance music from the playlists of hit music stations. And not to mention the removal of doo wop and danceable 60s rock from playlists of oldies radio stations.

Another reason for this thread is because I tend to fall back on classics that the radio no longer plays along with songs that radio never even played at all. Reason being is because many classics have such unique qualities specific to their decades, in other words new hits of today have such a substantially different style that I am unable to enjoy since many newer hip hop songs are far less danceable than hip hop songs from decades ago.

Perhaps the subpar economy is a cause of radio stations being so stupid and advertising useless products with excessive time usage. And since these radio stations continue to exist, it is perhaps making the economy worse. With all the power required to transmit, it draws so much electricity that it is perhaps bad for the environment too.

Why must there be a mass movement to change radio's programming? If you don't like what radio stations are playing why don't you listen to your mp3 player and leave us be without begging us to join your Myspace group?

But seriously, I don't get the point? You want to listen to songs from ages ago, like the 60s?
Wouldn't it be better to just listen to the songs you want to hear on your MP3?
