The Random Room Dog Boy 2 Review

2007, Movie, Action, Directed by Sarat
This movie is a sequel of dog-boy-1.(link is fixed)

No offence implied to Sarat here, I am just stating my opinion.

I was recently encouraged by Cubert to download this movie. I didn't plan on doing so after I watched "No Charge" which is also by Sarat. However, in Cubert's words, Sarat is a "Comic Genius". I am pretty sure this is unintentional but I was laughing quite a lot throughout Dog Boy 2 and I thought it deserves more downloads than it already has. I think this movie would have been no-one near as hilarious if the humour was intentional though.

First of all, the movie opens with a large font saying
"STOLE A SCENE FROM NINJA GAIDEN 2 TRAILER AS I NEEDED IT BADLY"
This made me laugh in itself for it's blatantness.

Then when the movie kicks off, you are given a brief reminder of the previous film. One of my favourite things about this film is that it is called "Dog Boy".

"Dog Boy" is a superhero which can climb walls and shoot webs. He also bears NO RESEMBLANCE to a dog.

Then the plot is blatantly stolen from Spiderman, which wouldn't be funny if it wasn't for the fact that Sarat takes it seriously (I assume).

DogBoy fights the Black Goblin (Charlie) in this film whilst remembering the words:
"With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility"

The scenes aren't great at all, but the animation shows hope, but the plot just bored me as I watched the movie.
It's at the end in which I found the most humour. Throughout the entire film, there was these, quite frankly, poorly crafted scenes, and then at the end, there is this really detailed scene from Ninja Gaiden, completely out of the blue.

For a film that takes itself so seriously, I was thought it was brilliantly funny.

Hahahah, awesome review. But I would like to seriously point out now, there is some damned promising animation in this film. Maybe Adam you could edit in a comment about the quite interesting figh scenes?

But yes it is also very very funny.

I hate you, Adam Biblio. You don't do 3dmm anymore, so leave and find a Flash forum.
