Plot Summary:
"You are JOHN LONGARM, and it is time to take back DEFAULT TOWN." Sequel-in-spirit to Backalley Brawl, does not require 3dmm to play and is allegedly Wii compatatble. Another Flash/v3dmm interactivity doo-hickey basically.

For most of the setup read the mini-hype thread. As I've said, I consider this sequel-in-spirit to Backalley Brawl, and now I [think] I have upped the ante on the whole v3dmm-Flash interactivity deal.

Comments/Constructive Critiscm/Worship more than welcome, and please don't forget to vote. Enjoy!

The screenshot shows a camera angle from the Misty City default scene. Jeez, default scenes are a huge complaint nowadays.

Haha this was really neat. I think what would make it better would be a life meter of some sort, but this was fun!

Curbert, it's Misty not Default city.

This was amazing! It was really fast and the actions looked smooth. I dunno what your testviewers were actually doing, but i thought of some improvements:
  • There is no ammo or health meter, which means you're forced to...
  • Click everywhere, so you just have tio click loads and not really pay attention to aiming.
  • Ability to shoot the black policeman.
  • More shootable objects. The car was fun, but it was unnessacary, i only shot it up while it was waiting for me to move on.
  • Hitboxes, cos you shoot 'em anywhere and they die differently
  • See the gun you are shooting! So it makes it more obvious when you are slipping from 3rd to 1st person.

Yeah Pirate Balloon is right with a few of those things, I think the fast paced action really made it more tense as well.

Shooting Bongo in the stomach made this funny as hell and using a frag on the mummy was a great idea too.

It was really, really fun, you could possibly make something of an RPG 3dmm game with all this. Collecting and selling things etc.

To be honest this game was fantastic, smooth animation and the way you make the camera move just makes you think fuck misty city is fucking awesome!

I'd possibly give it inbetween 7-8 1/2

Piss poor...

I am talking of course about the whole RPG idea. I don't see how a first person shooter can relate to an RPG game.
Also, the game was great.

1) Health Bar only just didn't make it into this version. I hadn't thought of ammo, but yeah I could do that. And by could I mean "probably will in the possible sequel".
2) Yeah I guess. I kind of like the way that happens though, adds to the pace+feel.
3) Hahaha, yeah I was thinking about it but couldn't be arsed in the end.
4) Again, the lazies knocked this off my "going to do" list. If the sequel happens, this will be #1 priority.
5) Nigh on impossible to acheive. I will try, but yeah that's a sticky area.
6) Again, this is possible though at the moment the gun would either have to be 100% static, or kind of follow the mouse but not actually do anything gunflare-wise when you click. EDIT: But I could very easily have an effect where the point at which you click has a gun-flash effect, a'la Xiao Xiao if anyone ever played that.

Why not? I've seen/played loads of flash games that do this.

Yeah, genius as I may be I haven't figured that one out yet. Perhaps, in time, but yeah as it stands I have no idea how I'd go about doing that.

Right click the file.
Go to "Open With..." then go to Internet Explorer, or Firefox, or whatever the hell you use.

EDIT: I thought it was pretty cool by the way, I can appreciate the effort put into it. Heh.
Bit frantic, but I guess that was the aim.

Ross- Yeah what Liam said.
Liam- Cool thanks man. Yes frantic was the aim, and I'm glad it worked.

Okay maybe not, it's too big to realistically host anywhere non-rar. The download time would be retarded for 50 seconds of play. Shame. Does the Wii have USB ports?

Nope. How exactly is this so big? I mean most flash games are only a few meg and that's for a lot more gameplay.
