Zombie 2: Kabcoo Conspiracy - Special Edition
Jim Ballard's Avatar
Plot Summary:
The never-before-released and incredibly rare unfinished remake of Zombie 2. Also included are trailers for Godzilla X MechaGodzilla and Zombie 5: Shadows of Darkness

You can really see James' handiwork in this wonderful, yet sadly unfinished piece. There's a lot of time and work put into the scenes here, as you can tell from the screenshots. James has an amazing visual depth to his shots, and I see these remakes as him coming closer to the artist that his earlier films struggled without.

The previews are great (Check out that Godzilla!), and this taste of Zombie only gets you hungry for more. I'd really like to see James tackle another project someday, be it in writing, comics, 3dmm, CGI, whatever. He's got a talent that he never really believed he had, it just took a long time to hone.

Also, there are voices by Tuna Hematoma, James Harding (Bigglez), Stan Pennant, and Qaz. Music is by Kow Otani, and as appropriately chosen as ever.

Default scenery? That's a really big let down nowadays. There's custom scenery!

Edit: Impressive. Classic 3dmm has aged well, although this can be largely put down to some well thought out scene construction and cinematography

And Ross, Default Scenery is the 2D pre-rendered backdrops that come with 3dmm, although TECHNICALLY it's all made with default 3dmm stuff, Pre-Expansion makes more sense.

I told you I wasn't making it up when I said this stuff was great. Course, that was quite a few years back, but it still stands.

My friend Norman actually introduced me to Kow Otani briefly in October. We went to one of his live performances in some fancy club. His music is incredible.

I've been meaning to hunt down his other stuff for a while. I only really know him for his work on Shadow of the Colossus, but this is enough to make me envy you actually hearing him live
