Vlarion 3 - Carrier of the Light
Aaron Haynes's Avatar
Plot Summary:
With the resistance to the Vlarion threat splintered, the future appears bleak. However, as outside help arrives to provide answers to the looming questions of the war, the full scope of the Vlarion legend becomes clear, and the march toward humanity's final victory -- or defeat -- begins.

Vlarion 3 finally marks a shift away from default scenery into an actual, breathing, original fantasy setting. Looking back, I still feel like I was on shaky ground here, keeping a more consistent grasp on the stage and themes of the series, but losing some of the more immediate pacing and tone of Vlarion 2. Even though it managed better control of Vlarion's world, the third installment would require the most significant overhaul to be brought in line with what the 2006 edition of Vlarion 1 introduces.

That said, I really enjoyed the experimentation with visual effects and scenery here. This was the first time I felt like I was creating my own world in 3DMM, even if the reasons for some of the set pieces hinge more on what I wanted to do at the time than how relevant or consistent they are with the series as a whole (the ancient ruins/time fabric sequence in the first half of the movie particularly reflect this, I think).

Is this the one where ambulances were used as floorboards? That was pretty nifty, I must say.
This one really got me going. They finally started to move a bit better, though still plagued with long text scenes.
Even just adding voices would make this fun. If you weren't all John Lasseter and would just reanimate without making it as super awesome as possible, it could still be fun/feasible.

Any possibility of a wmv of this? I want to watch it again, but vista fucks midis up, and that kind of ruins the movie.

You could have just bumped one thread and said "also the rest of the Vlarion movies". This was unnecessary.

edit: like people said in the other thread ignore this i guess
