Not Green
Plot Summary:
In a completly green world, one man dares to be different.

yeah... well the origin of this movie is; I was looking at texture sites and I found this really awesome one and it even had textures catergorized by colours.

so I thought OMG I can make a movie that's basically one colour.

Hahah, that was fun.

Really, though, if you're going to make a movie focusing on one color, there actually is a scene palette with 90 shades of it.

That was kinda cool. The bunny looked a bit funny, and the ending was a bit of an easy way out, but it worked in a way. One thing's for sure, this community could do with a few more Sandfords.

This probably deserves a few more comments.

Interesting little piece. I'm not sure if there was some sort of deep meaning behind it or not. I honestly couldn't find any definite significance or story being told, minus what's right in front of you. Is this an expose of people's natural fear and hesitance to change, or is this even a serious piece at all? I'm afraid that everything was just too distant for me to accurately judge and make my own conclusions.

The music was very interesting. It wasn't quite classical, and it wasn't exactly modern either. A bit caught in between, much like the movie itself.

The animation was not up to your own par. Construction was better than normal, for architecture and backgrounds, but falling short in a few areas. It seemed like the parts where you were trying to create something new didn't completely work out (Like using certain shades of green to denote shadows over other areas of green, or creating your own green bunny), which is a shame to have happen in an artistic short. If story isn't the focal point, than unique visual trickery is usually a big part. But nope, Not Green is not easily pigeon-holed into any of that. It doesn't succeed and it doesn't fail, it just sort of..exists. Perhaps that was the intention after all!

Still, I can't say that I didn't enjoy it. I love a unique watch, and even if it doesn't blow my socks off in any one area, it was well worth the time watching it. I hope many similar ventures follow suit, albeit with a clearer motive.

On that note, having Michael ever team up with another director would be very interesting. Very interesting indeed.

Haha that was fun. I enjoyed how it looked like it was going to get all pretencious on you, but then it starts getting silly.

Enjoyable, that's for sure.

THUMBS UP.

Do all of your movies end with randomness?
Ah well, this was pretty cool, if just for the fact that you changed the character palletes to suit the movie. Aaron and Goro already mentioned the pallete expansions that make this sort of thing easier.
I dunno though. There wasn't much to it, so I'll just chalk it up to being a tech demo.
