TWO OF A KIND

We open up the movie with a high speed, futuristic car chase.
And this is really one of the only parts of the movie I didn’t like, and it’s not because Jordi skipped details… it’s because he put in TO MANY, and while your looking at all the futuristic florescent buildings it’s hard to focus on the action.

Once they leave the city though everything is much easier to take in.
And the action is much easier to understand.

At this point I’d like to say the music is brilliant and works really well.

Now as the bad man is trying to run away stranger shoots him.
The impact and aftermath are shown in freeze-frames.

Now I know that this is probably the best you can possibly do in 3dmm but honestly, the splashing effect just looks crap.
The effect can pass if animated but as a freeze frame, it just fails.

Now I’m sure you’re all wondering, “why, what did this bad guy do, why is stranger hunting him down” well my dear reader, that’s the real beauty of this film.

It is explained BACKWARDS.
So the cause is the conclusion rather than the effect, like in most films.
And this is what really makes this movie interesting.

The next part.
Stranger basically is shooting people in slow motion.
You may think, by this discription, its just a normal PAM scene.
You are wrong, this goes far beyond the PAMs… it has a point. (so it’s an AM)

The scene also has a different song then you’d expect from a action scene. The song is slow and acts in an almost “sarcastic” sense do the point of the action.

At this point I’m still wondering “why is stranger doing this?”

Well, now we go to the last sequence.

It starts of with a few close ups… as to keep what is actually happening hidden.

As soon as the words “keep your brother company” appeared below the villain from the first sequence you understand why all the previous events happened.

Although the whole “killed his family” thing is clichéd it is still a satisfying ending.. although not quite as shocking as I expected it to be

Anyway this is still an awesome movie and it’s great to see Jordi’s animation style in a serious movie
