I had an unsettling feeling of deja vu at the scene 68 without a plot bit. Was that something I said a long time ago? Or maybe it was someone else and I just remember that being an argument? Or perhaps I am just crazy.

Anyway, that was great. I'm considering reviewing it as it actually had a really amusing ending and wasn't just 70-something scenes of fighting.

Definitely a really good work, and the ending was fantastic. The sudden pop into a Sonic ...daydream was well animated/put together, and a nice piece of variety to keep the movie fresh. Every bit of the fight was different, too, but the part with the HMCs confused the heck out of me. Great movie though, lots of style

This was very entertaining! Someone made an earlier comment about it being like Diabolical Delighted, but it's really not at all. Certainly better animated, though clearly not as cohesive as this is a chain movie. There were bouts of really nice visuals, however the fight itself was somewhat lacking in both imagination and, well, fighting. I can only get away with saying that because of the slapstick, you-can't-guess-what's-next style of the Stranger movies. The characters often just kind of stood (Or lied) there while the other beat them senseless, then a quick zip would reverse the rolls and the other would be on top. However, there was a feeling of Merry Melody-esque fancy with the senseless running off screen and grabbing whatever you needed to a skit. That I liked and would like to see more of.

In fact, I was ready for an unfinished movie. It having an ending at all was a blessing, but a legitimately funny ending made it all grand. We're not far into the new year, but I think this is a respectable level for other movies to strive for this year. I certainly enjoyed this movie (The music choices were excellent, by the way. Implementation was grand).

I had trouble keeping up with it. The Sonic part I found funny, but didn't quite see a working segue. I figured I just missed something and chuckled at the reasonings Burgon might have for speeding away. The other character at the end was probably a surprise to everyone, I don't know if that was the intention or not. A few points lost on confusion, but it's not really like I was striving to make sense of every scene.


Excellent job, especially for what you thought was dated material. I'd be elated to watch a movie of that caliber any week

Pretty sure the Sonic thing was a seperate animation of Burgon's that he just wanted to work into something. I remember seeing gifs of it a long time ago.

As you may or may not remember James Burgon is a massive Sonic fan and back in the day he almost wouldn't shut up about it. He had a Sonic avatar and sig and all. So the scene where James starts daydreaming about Sonic is a joke that was relevant only at that time. As were Ace Ventura jokes, that were originally in the movie aswell. But you know the drill with time-specific jokes like that, they are horribly dated and eyebrow raising when more than 2 years have passed since. Kind of like PowerPlay.

As for the scene with the HMC, I didn't understand shit of it aswell. It was somthing James came up with in one of his crazy moments. I found it pretty funny becauce it was such nonesense and so totally random. Again, we made this movie purely for our own satisfaction. We just felt like animating, all other things like plot, scenery and voice acting put aside.

I'm surprised really that you guys still get some laughs out of it but thanks for the positive feedback. Please keep in mind that this movie has always been James' baby and it was he who came up with the idea like 5 years ago.
He's always been the one who kept this thing from going into coma so he deserves all the credit really.

I was planning to add MORE to the hmc part but I never thought i'd see this released. So that's why it doesn't make sense. . But yeah this movie was pretty much animate whatever you like and be random. It was fun to make at the time. I mean, we had like an AGE OLD version of this years ago when I first joined and saw like stranger 1. I pestered jordi to join me in making it. But that version was lost, so we started it again like last year.

And jordi behave! it's a joint effort. Just wish you'd have told me you were releasing it hah .

Yes, this was me, i attually said the 'animation' was of DD quailty, not the atual film it's self.

Also, i agree - this isn't outdated at all, the animations are still better than any of Sandford's latest releases.

Allthough as i've said before he's certainly got the potential to match or even beat this particular example.

Yes, this was very very good. Nice and old school (stuff like this and Ninja Gaiden 2 might hopefully wake up the v3dmm-laziness that's sneaking in). I just wish I'd seen Stranger 4.

I think it looked sweet. I simply love your animation style. The Sonic-bit seemed out of place though, and the fighting wasn't all that creative, but overall a pretty entertaining flick.

I'm not sure I ever watched this. Not bad, but it has a lot of the problems that this 'vs' genre has in 3dmm in that there's not a lot of actual fighting, just each person taking turns punching the other guy in a unique way while the other guy stands there, which makes for really slow pacing.

Absolutely worth it for the ending alone, but I thought the slow pace combined with the laid-back music worked really well for some reason. It's not one of those HARDKORE fight movies set to a metal soundtrack where they pull out all manner of artillery and blow up everything in sight. Those are fun when done well, but there's so many of them. This is just really stupid fun, both of you taking turns smacking each other around in the desert. It's almost a turn-based battle.

The funniest part is definitely the ending, Burgon's voice acting while talking to the voiceless director was really funny. I like how the "window" squished up to reveal the command prompt. And the zinger at the end makes me laugh every time; even though I love that movie, he's totally right.
