The Awesome Adventures of Rock & His Associates Review

Go to movie
A chain movie made by Destra and Denny using a unique set of rules. Both directors made a list of random and unrelated lines, then gave the lists to each other. Each director had to take at least one of the lines given to them and incorporate it into their part. Though the line still had to fit into the scene and not be just thrown out there randomly. As a result the movie's plot is shaped around a series of strange and completely unrelated lines.

Let me start off by saying that so far, I’ve yet to see a single 3dmm drama that works with me, but every single PAM or random weird humor movie with at least some degree of talent is acceptable and entertaining. While I’m all for art, I feel that a serious drama will never work with those goofy default characters. Now why I bring this up is to state the fact that I am rarely going to judge a movie harshly on its plot value unless that is where the film is focused. Now this movie is one of the random weird humor flicks, and it can be extremely hilarious at parts, at other times it is kind of annoying, for example there is one part where a scene is repeated several times and then returns to a repeat of sodomy, and while sodomy is funny enough to receive a slight chuckle, it just wasn’t working there.

Now to get into the bulk of this movie, we basically have no idea what is going on, supposedly it is continuing off of some other non-existent episode and now Rock and his Associates are trying to find some robot. As I stated earlier I really don’t care that the plot is completely random and ridiculous, in fact in a movie like this I prefer it that way. The scenery and animation range from total noob ridiculous joke shit to crazy ‘holy shit how the fuck did they do that’ shit, for instance the scene where the camera flies back into the robots headquarters caused me to drool a little bit. The voice acting is pretty much all the default Microsoft Sam variations except for the robot at the end and you can barely even hear him, but once more the goofy voices helps the humor of the movie very much. The use of v3dmm is very nice in this movie, there are many instances of eye-candy that look stupendous such as all the teleportation and various other ridiculous but pretty things

I must say, I never get tired of these sort of movies. While the noob joke movies can be funny at times, they alone get old, but when those types of jokes are combined with loads of fantastic 3dmm skillage then you get pure entertainment. This is the type of movie that you just shut your brain off and absorb, and while I am not much for simple entertainment I must say that this is probably what 3dmm achieves best.
