The Awesome Adventures of Rock & His Associates
Destra's Avatar
Plot Summary:
A chain movie made by Destra and Denny using a unique set of rules. Both directors made a list of random and unrelated lines, then gave the lists to each other. Each director had to take at least one of the lines given to them and incorporate it into their part. Though the line still had to fit into the scene and not be just thrown out there randomly. As a result the movie's plot is shaped around a series of strange and completely unrelated lines.

This is the fourth movie of The Short Film Festival of 2006

Today's movie is brought to you by Destra Afsetis and Denny Betterman.

Haha, that was cool. The scene with the close-up shots of the robot was awesome. Also, the thing where they teleport and grow into flowers was hilarious.

Here's the movie description from the email I sent to Mike. He not only screwed up the name, but also missed out the vital part about how the movie was made.

So enjoy The Awesome Adventures of Rock & His Associates, episode #47: Time To Kick Some Asimov.

EDIT: Also, why is this thread not stickied?

Yeah, it was very nicely animated, I just think the concept didn't really work and some of the voices were grating. But good animation.

The world would be a brighter place if people would actually remember to RATE movies. Little button on the bottom-right corner of the initial post, COME ON PEOPLE.

Heh, this was fun. It had some good animation and some pretty funny scenes. Nice stuff.
Although one question:
Howcome that Micheals shorts and shoes keep changing?

Holy shit.

Hey whoever constructed the robot assembly scene, how does one even BEGIN to conceptualize something that awesome? How do you do it?? That was fairly mind-blowing. Wish I was that creative.

I really like this whole movie, while I'm.. on the subject. This is the first movie I've watched in a long, long time, and this was quite the stunning little gem my friends. Great job dudes. I always enjoy these kind of offbeat, fun movies. Wicked cool.

I don't know what just happened... but I think I kinda liked it.

Like everyone says, the robot construction kicked ass. And yes, the flowers, that was lovely.

This was retarded, and occasionally fun, and surprisingly imaginative. The final sequence panning away from earth and down the levels of the moon bunker was wow. I did not mind viewing it once.

If I remember correctly, it was a song that Denny and his brothers/sisters recorded when he was about 5 years old.

That was a fortunate mistake. When I was going over the movie again and polishing it up, I must have missed people's clothes randomly changing.

That scene was my main contribution to the movie.

Is that the good kind of retarded, or the bad kind?

The sorta amusing kind of retarded. Some things were very laugh-worthy, others were just "yeah ok this has been the fallback for random humor movies since like 1999"-ish.

It wasn't ":|" retarded, like Dominator Dan's Tom Breed Challenge movie.
