Just watched it and apologise profusely for my voice acting, seems fine when you're recording it but i was cringing throughout when hearing it back in the movie, really wish I hadn't done it now!!

I mentioned this to Richard already but I dunno if the others did or not but I just did my lines without checking out the rest of the script to sort of leave it a surprise and now I'm wondering if I'd have understood the ending if I'd read the script! (Richard uploaded the v3dmm file on it's own for me so i never got the extras incl. script)

To be honest I really didn't get the ending at first and had to read this thread. I'm assuming I'm having a very slow night or i'm just incredibly stupid...very good twist but could have been pulled off a lot better to make it clearer rather than it just being woman stands up, shoots plane, end since I first thought she was shooting it for no reason as they were going to die anyway!

And another thing I loved the plane crash sequence. Superbly done, you've made another movie that makes me want to pick up 3dmm again!

8/10 - great scenery, animation and use of v3dmm especially the faces of the people as the plane goes down but the voices getting all distorted and the unclear ending take off 15% for me.

Oh yeah, two things I forgot to mention in the review. Voice quality was very subpar, and good v3dmm usage with the expressions. Very subtle touch considering you only see them for a few seconds and the screen's shaking.

Also, the nervous guy as an actor font (I assume?) turning his head was great, but it also made me wonder why you didn't do that for the couple as well. Their movements were robotic and could've used a lot more subtlety that that technique could've easilly provided.

No, no actor font, I used two Patricks, one with a transparent body and one with a transparent head. I really should have done the same for the couple I'm not sure why I didn't. And the voices - yeah, they weren't brilliant. I think it's because Warren's and Will's recordings needed so much tweaking in Goldwave. Well, onto the next movie!

What do you mean? Mine was fine quality and it turned up crap in the movie as well, I thought they was some tool that allowed you to keep the quality at the max?

I think the main problem was, there needed to be the backing cabin pressure noise. You know the constant airplane sound in the background? Well yours and Warren's voices were completely lost when you added them in 3dmm, so I had to equalize them so you could understand them. Scatterbrain's was okay because he shouted, and Princezsupastar and the other's were female and higher pitched.

By the way, those two hidden "messages" are the following. They're not all that good but I thought I'd put them in anyway:

1. The initials of the airline the airplane belonged to are the initials of my previous movie, The Dance Of The Firefly (TDOTF).

2. A woman at the start of the film says very quietly that she prefers Derelict to Satanik and that she didn't find the latter "all that great".

Have to go with Aaron here. It's a good effort, and the twist could have been great, but the way it was pulled of made it too confusing for the viewer. Shot 97 looked great.

I watch this movie.

Meh, I didn't like it all that much. The twist didn't make sense to me until it was explained, and then it was still kinda cruddy... one thing that made me laugh about the explanation of the twist: "There were politicians in the front of the plain".

Yeah, I dunno. The animation at the end was good, like everyone says, but yeah, the movie just didn't do much for me.

That's not a quote, he said there were politicians in "business class".

I liked this movie a great deal because the first time I watched it, I understood the twist and didn't get confused. This would have been mostly because I read there was going to be a twist before I started the movie. Although after watching it a second time I can see how many people would have easily been confused by it, and all it takes is a little confusion when the twist gets revealed to completely ruin the movie for them. It seems like it would have actually helped the viewing experience if it was revealed to them beforehand that there was going to be a twist. I could see what you were trying to do with it, which was I think why I enjoyed it, but it just wasn't set up very well.

Other than that, the only other thing that bothered me was the lack of music. This movie really needed it to build the tension towards the climax. I thought the tension levels started off well, however it soon died down. The sound effects in the plane however were good and did help the situation.

For the most part the voice acting was very well done. I'm mostly thinking of the wife here, especially those last two lines. In particular, "I love you my darling" was executed very well. I thought it was so well done and was perfect for the situation. This line was where I picked up the twist so it was of great importance to me and is what saved the movie for me.

The scenery was good in my books. Like everyone else I liked the plane crashing scenes in particular. Although disapointingly, it seemed like overall scenerywise, it was a step down from "Dance of the Fireflies". Don't get me wrong, I thought the scenery was good, but I think you just set the bar too high for yourself.

So yeah, to sum up. I liked it alot, but I completely understand why others wouldn't have. It just needed to be planned out more so that the twist was clearer and made more sense. But I still liked it and after this i'm definately looking forward to your next movie.

I guess i'll give it a score, how does 8/10 sound?

I understood the twist fine, personally, and there's nothing particularly wrong with it. It's just, by that point, I still have no sense of who the characters are or any investment in what happens to them, so the whole thing is kind of meaningless (although those last few shots are pretty damn great).

Thanks guys, I think my favourite scene is the one in which the plane breaks in two. That took several attempts to get right.
