...Erm, that was a SEVERE disappointment. The scenery was great, but the writing was terrible, the voice actors lines were an incredibly bad quality, and a lot of the time there was too many pans that shouldn't have been there.

SPOILERS:

1. What the fuck was with the ending. Why did the woman have a gun?

2. Was that nervous guy sitting next to the couple Alex or not? I thought he was until the credits where it just said 'nervous guy'.

3. Hijacker's little speech sucked. He spent a YEAR planning to hijack a plane because he got jailed and had no money after? Then he blames it on the PRESIDENT?

4. What the shit was going on at the end? Okay, so she pulls a gun out of nowhere and shoots the plane, causing EVERYONE to die because.....why? She didn't know if they were going to crash or if any of them were going to die. Then he straps himself in and.....that's it. SUCKED.

5. The stuff in "New Text Document" is self-indulgent crap.

6. The movie was advertised about being about the COUPLE, yet most of it focused on the hijacker.

I came in with high expectations of this film, and they were smashed. The only saving grace was the scenery, which was very good, especially that one scene at the end. You know the one.

Anyway, sorry, you can tell you put effort into the film, but for me it only gets a 3/10.

This wasn't bad. Some very nice scenery, and the end totally made me go "LOST! THAT'S LOST!"
I loved the twist, too! But overall this felt a little empty, as if more could've happened before the ending. Perhaps flashbacks or something, I dunno.
But yeah, some of those last scenes really blew my mind!

Bown - The guy sitting next to the couple, who you are led to believe is the helping terrorist is actually just a nervous passenger, whose trip had been planned for about a year. The wife of the couple is the real terrorist, who with the main hijacker planned the act of terrorism. The main terrorist had been jailed and planned some kind of terrorist attack whilst in the jail. The relationship between the male hijacker and herself is not necessarily required, but in early scripting, they were lovers.

When you say it was advertised about a couple, it pretty much was. But which one?

Oh, and to answer your question about the ending - it's an act of terrorism. They happened to know that some politicians were in the other end of the plane, so she ripped a hole in the side of it and made it crash. End.

Schwiggity sweet. Downloading.

EDIT: Just finished watching it. I was going to do a full review, but I should probably get more expirience first, so I'll just put some details here. I for one thought it was a very good film. The story was nice, and the ending was awsome. Some of the cinematography was a little shaky, but for the most part was accomplished smoothly. The scenery was good, and the animation was also pleasant. One bad thing was the voice acting. For the most part it was not very good. The wife's dialogue was the most clear. But the rest were not that good. Good use of v3dmm. And that about sums it up for me. Nice job.

8/10

Oh.....I sorta feel dumb now.

I guess that the woman was the terrorist could have been explained better, perhaps by her shouting something to the hijacker before she pulled her gun out, but that's still pretty clever and I didn't expect it.

Ignore all the points I made except for the third one, and upgrade my score to 6.5/10 (Yes, the woman thing bothered me THAT much). That makes it a lot better, but the voice acting, occasionally lackluster direction, and motivation for the hijacking still bothers me.

EDIT: My original complaints about the ending centered around the idea that the women had a gun for NO REASON and was shooting shit to stop the hijacker by crashing the plane, therefore killing everyone anyway. But yeah, I should have realized this stuff.

There's only one real plot problem I can still see: Nervous guy says WE'VE been planning this for a year, not I'VE...what's up with that?

someone turn this into AVI or something for me. My v3dmm is giving me sass and refusing to open a fucking thing and when I recorded those lines (to my great embarassment, I really shouldn't be 'acting') they sounded alright to me, what's happened to the quality in the movie?!?

It's not your fault, Scatterbrain. My lines were fine quality when I send them to Bevis, too. GSM'd and all. But he musta done something to them.. they didn't sound that bad.

The ending made me go "...Eh, what? What was all that about?". As said before, it should have been made more clear that she was the terrorist. The camera pans annoyed me a bit, like it would pan out across the couple, into the isle, but then the next scene would be back focused on the couple... Pointless.

Maybe it should hae been explained better..I was like "OH..wait is that right..wa.. h." But yeah I loved the plane crashing sequence, you are a yummy animator Mr. Bevis. I wasn't expecting any sort of twist, I was expecting a kind of gay ending I LOVE yOU WE ARE DAED NOW kinda thing. But yeah, I am pretty satisfied I guess, I love twist endings.

Complaining about sound quality is kind of ridiculous, as people work with what they have. Its not like they plan it, or are gonna go out and buy a $50 mic just for a 3dmm movie. SO I WON'T COMPLAIN, but the writing could have been a little less....cheesy and, 'played,' for lack of better words. BUT I DID LIKE IT. So, 7/10, nice work Ricardo de la Bevis, I hope to see more movies from you soon :-*

Short version: Interesting, good design ideas, a lot of polish in scenery and visual effects. Unfortunately, rough around the edges in terms of voice acting, sound quality, and especially pacing and directing. The angles chosen throughout the film often don't correspond to what's happening onscreen. Occasionally, there are some really excellent shots like scene 55, but most of the time, there's no correlation between shot composition and on-screen behavior. As a result, it was hard to follow and the first two-thirds of the movie are muddled and don't serve the necessary buildup and characterization functions they need to.

This is quickly turning into a long version, so I'll save the rest for the review. Suffice it to say, I appreciate the effort and admire a lot of the design work, but had a lot of issues with how it all came together.

So it's a "Good work, but."

He was taking his first ride on an airplane, and going to see someone. It doesn't really matter who, you just assume he planned his trip with someone else.

That was my assumption after the film ended, too. As long as the language used could logically work in another context, it's fine.

RIGHT?! I thought I totally nailed that. I think I'd been on a plane quite recently before making it.. or I drew from memory. Either way, haha. And yes I was holding my nose to get the effect .
