2005, Movie, Musical, Directed by Kyle Magocs
A peaceful island at day, but at night...

Let's face it, making a music video in 3DMM can be tough. I mean Andres did it was Dead Heart In A Dead World and...What's My Age Again? but still it cna be hard. And it can be even harder without lyrics. Now I know Mr. Magocs is a stickler for making music videos, and he's good at it, but there comes a time when making one that requires at least some form of explanation simply isn't going to work out. Desert Eagle is just that.

Now before I delve into what I really didn't like, which is easily broken down, I'm gonna start out by giving Kyle much credits for creating the Suneo model. I like to give hard work the credit it deserves and from the sounds of it it did take some effort. I also enjoyed much of the color use. Kyle went out of a whim with imagination here and visually the movie has a really nice, bizarre look that divides the movie's light/dark side. Animation wise there was some impressive spots as usual. Kyle is probably one of the most underrated animators and I think we got a nice glimpse of what he has to offer from this movie.

But all that aside you can't really do much with the visual unless you have something that makes sense. I must've missed something that everyone else got but when you need to read the movie's end credits to figure out what the hell you just watched, what's the point? I'm not a dumb individual by any means but I seriously did not get the point of this movie until it was explained to me. That's the sign of a failure. Yes I grasped the concept of the movie which would be cool if shown in a different fashion. It's like if you charaded a joke to someone who would normally understand it verbally and then have to explain it fully to them. It just doesn't work. It probably wasn't a bad joke but it was presented in all the wrong ways and with a movie you need to make sure your subject understands at least somewhat what is going on.

Maybe I did miss the point. Maybe I got too distracted in something else. Maybe I need to rewatch it some but I'm gonna take it from face value and on that I really did not enjoy this movie. Better luck next time.
