Star Wars: DOTF: Special Edition.

Or essentially a flippin' remake, using some of the nice new features in v3dmm.

I haven't done much of the new work yet, but I have produced some new actors to star in it with prebuilt Jedi outfits, so this is gonna be much easier, quicker and better.

So here is how the three main characters are gonna look. A combination of personally created outfits, the great "capedings" and taco's fantastic lightsaber.

Release date: We're talking october/november time.
Length: About 30 minutes. I may release it as a serial of ten shorts like the "Clone Wars" cartoon. Depends on whether I get my production up to scratch in time for monthly releases.

May the force be with you...Again....whatever.

"Darkside", "Dark Side"...whatever. I will look it up when the time comes.

I am just glad I finally managed to get 7Gen working properly.

Ooooh scary update.

Right-ho about 50% done. I have basically spent all the previous day revamping the Nik and JanTarn training battle from DSF part 1.

In other news, I'm gonna try and find DSF the orginal and upload it to the community so that there is a comparison. If anyone already has it, then let me know...cos my version is sort of cut to ribbons.

AMMENDUM: The Picture of Nik is out of date as he now has blue eyes.

Yeah, but considering I can't find a way to edit Taco's lightsaber I am kind of stuck with it. Let's just say it is a hell of a lot better than it used to be.

Open the lightsaber in Pencil++. I don't know how to do it exactly, but that's all i know to do to edit exsisting expansions.
Someone help me out here...

Okay, so the lightsaber hilts suck, but here are a few more promotional photos.

Incidentally this Star Wars project will be in parts starting with the revamped DSF part 1 and continuing from there into part 2. and don't worry Part 1 will be longer than it previously was.

(Note that this may not be adi gallia in the film as she is actually dead by Episode III - therefore this may be Stasse Allie instead who looks the same - it also needs finishing in terms of the dreadlock things coming from her head.)

Mace Windu needs work, but Obi-Wan looks fantastic.

Also, glad to see someone getting some use out of Capedings. Are you finding it easy to make fluid, or do you think it needs more shapes?

Could do with a few extra shapes here and there, but overall it works very nicely.

Could you give me some pointers on what's the worst things about Windu?

his head is enormous and his expression makes him look like some dumb black stereotyped slave or something

but those look really good overall, and considering how great the first one was I'm sure we won't be let down

Well I did go over the stereotypical black male Bino in order to make Mace after all, so that's hardly surprising.

I'm not well versed on the working of 3dmm pencil or other 3D model making programs. 7Gen is my limit.

To prove that I have actually been doing some of this movie, here are a few bits and pieces.

This is the planet Erindau, upon which most of the movie will be set. It's not all rocks though.

JanTarn defends himself in a training duel.

Nik jumps down from his Jedi starfighter on Erindau.

And a couple of seconds of the new improved lightsaber fight from DSF.

Some of these shots ain't finished incidentally.

Looks great. The one thing I would suggest would be to use a different background in the scene of the first and third screenshots... one that you create yourself, most preferrably. It just always looks better.

Yeah they are a work in progress, good advice. Thanks!

I just spent the whole evening finishing off my Aalya Secura model. It's about as good as I can get without actually changing the model's shape, so it'll do for an incidental character.

Edit: Btw Darth, any progress on the Republic Attack Cruiser? It's kinda the last thing I really need. Thanks.
