Firewalls

Sorry for the techy question, but does anyone know of any decent free firewall software? I don't think I want to bother with ZoneAlarm because that software annoys the hell outa me.

well I definitely get the impression that ZoneAlarm is the definitive free firewall. What annoys you about it?
