The horror hit of 2005, Derelict

2005, Movie, Horror, Directed by Mousenator
In the depths of space, a military recon team searching for intelligent life discover more than they anticipated.

When Andrew released Fear, it showed that he had lots of talent and especially at the difficult horror genre in 3dmm.
Now, this movie blows Fear out of the sky as Andrew has given us a new horror movie which is absolutely spectacular.
The fairly decent story is of a military ship picking up a strange spaceship with dead crewmembers. Eventually, a rescue ships finds this military ship and they find that the crew have suffered the same fate as the crew on the derelict craft. The atmosphere in this movie is very claustrophobic, ALOT like Alien. It is very obvious that Andrew got alot of ideas from Ridley Scotts classic, but thats not saying he's copied every idea from the film and put it in his, it has the same horrific atmosphere and genre and has music from and stuff. But you wonder after watching this on the ending. Very sudden, you could expect it or you may have no idea whatsoever however, making a horror movie in 3dmm is a very difficult thing to make, only occaisionally people manage to break through the force field, The Black Woods, Gnomes...then theres Fear and now theres Derelict.
Andrew should really stick to horrors, so far, the things we have seen from him are fantastic indeed. I mean Derelict has a decent plot, good horific and jumpy moments, some great scenery (however some is very blank which may be a bother if you like gawping at sensational scenery) some great models used and created, for example theres a shaded Eliza model for the main character when she is walking in a very dark room. However we would congratulate Mark Boorer (Shootfast) for those matters.
Although this may seem like a kind of Alien ripoff it has its moments that really seperates the two movies from being similar. Although they are very alike this is still a good movie. I can't deny that fans of Alien or any horror movie with this type of genre will really enjoy this.
To enjoy this movie even more, wait till the middle of the night, turn the lights out so your'e alone in the dark and turn the volume up full blast, then you can get the real experience from this. A 3dmm horror masterpiece and a must download.
