Reviews Section Online

I've finally gotten the reviews section up and running.

Posting reviews works just like posting movies and mods. However, it's important to note that the movie you are reviewing MUST be in the movies database, or the system won't let you post your review. Be careful, you will need to spell the movie title the same way it appears on the movies page, or it won't find it. One exception, however, is that it is not case-sensitive.

I also added a "reviews" table to the movie postbit that appears right below the list of download mirrors when one or more reviews have been written for that movie. It displays a link and quote from the review, sort of like you see on rottentomatoes.com.

The movies section needs to be beefed out more, otherwise this system could be excellent.

That works really well, I love the quoting part; that looks really good and fits in very well.

Ah, okay. Indeed! I'm going to try and add a bunch of the classics once I get my uploader up and running.

I think maybe the movie page should show what the score is from each review.

Should the titles we use be of the same format as the ones you added? i.e. "Aaron's ............."

Use whatever format you want. In fact, if you can come up with a slick headline type of title that is specific to the review, I'd prefer it.

50% = 3 stars?

I think the scale needs some altering...

It should be on a scale of 10 stars. Or movie reels. Movie reels as the icons would be so cool.

I think you should indent the name of the reviewer more to the right.

I added an additional hyphen and an extra space. Hope that helps. I didn't like what it looked like when I indented it.

This is wonderful. Also, is there a way the ratings in the review could be automatically applied to the thread itself?

What do you mean, like include the rating given in the review to the movie's overall average?

I will write a separate php batch script that will get run every night and basically add/update all ratings to movies that come from reviews, weighting them a little more heavily than normal user ratings.
