Suspense
Warren Wagner's Avatar
Plot Summary:
A couple is breaking up, but it is clear that there are strong feelings of love from both of them.

I made this movie last week, and waited on the voices, I think the voice acting is amazing in this. Thanks for checking out the thread and I hope everyone enjoys.

I have been informed that on XP computers, the talking actions go on 2-3 seconds longer for the actors because my computer is a slow piece of shit. I apologize for this.

That was really great, stranglely relevant bar the wholy dying bit. And yeah, the sync is way out on XP - but it doesn't really hurt the movie at all. As I said - nice movie, I like it.

Thanks man. I find it relevant to my own life as well and I too, am not dying...I think I think this is my favorite short since "Totalitarian Blueberry" because the last few shorts I did, kinda lacked.

I like your films, and the topics are always interesting, but the same camera angles repeated like 20 times kinda bug me.

This turned out really well. The syncronization thing is a bit annoying at times, but once you can look past it, it works very well. Good work here.

Despite the awful syncronization problem, I liked this movie.

2006 is off to a great start!

Oh, and the voice acting was excellent.

For the short time it was made in, it was decent.

Quite frankly this would have been better as a radio show. The visuals and camera angles do almost nothing for the dialogue, besides the random times when they happen to work - but the fact that the same angle was used half a dozen times before when it didn't fit with what was a being said, well... yeah.

And I'm not sure how it played out when it's properly synched, but I felt that the synch issue damaged the dialogue. There's more to dialogue than the lines, when nothing is said is sometimes more important than when something is said - or the timing of when one person says another. So an angry line, a pause, and then another angry line just felt wrong. They should be almost cutting eachother off during those slightly heated moments, or something. But yeah this is 100% not your fault, I just felt like stating that.

But seriously, it felt sloppily... edited together. Like you made a bunch of scenes, and then randomly slapped them down for certain parts of the dialogue. Camera angles should have some relevance to the line/actions. Like I said, sometimes it worked, but it felt like they worked purely based on the luck of the draw.

Good dialogue though, good acting. I enjoyed the story, just not the presentation. I think you should have spent more time on it, you could have made it a lot more emotional.

Great radio show, but a below average film.

It's not a bad movie at all. But the voice over work was pretty weak. That was my only gripe. Well...that and the over-use of the sarcastic laugh.

I greatly enjoyed this script and voice acting as I always do with Warren's work. Another great job! However, to strengthen the overall feel of your films perhaps you should submit them to test viewers? At only a few minutes a piece, and with such high quality scripts, I'm sure many people (myself included) would love to give some constructive critisism where it could help.

75%! (Great, well written script. However, as mentioned above, repetetive scenes, synching problems and what I felt was a little lack of detail to the scenes gives me that overall score)

That was quite nice. I don't particularly think it's great, but considering the time it took to make that's not too bad. The cigarettes were nice touches, but even though it wasn't meant to be very action-packed, I did get a little bored just watching people talk.

I enjoyed it. Jon and Shannon did below average jobs compared to what they have done. The lack-off syncing didn't harm the movie too much, just enough to be annoying. You also made good use of v3dmm. I liked how you were scratching your head at a lot of said things, but by the end you get it all. Becasue of this I doubt I'll watch it again.

It's good to see some people know how to properely format their scripts.

Moviemagic or Final Draft?

Why do people feel the need to animate in wide screen? 3dmm is already set to 16:9, what's wrong with that?

And calling it Indie Films...sorry, it's all a bit pretentious to me.

Gazbo,

First off I use Final Draft. I think it is a very good program.

About indie 3dmm. It is an idea Sergon and I had put together where as the movie will focus on subject matter and characters rather then flashy animation. We wanted to make a lable for movies that try to go outside of the box. The name was Sergon's idea and we both agreed it worked very well.

As for the widescreen...I just like it.
