Oh, so it's vl-flare-neon, is it?

Man. That was fucking MINDBLOWING. I can't even review this at the moment because I've got so much to say and little conciousness to think about what to type (I could have fallen asleep about 3 hours ago, I'm that tired). I'll just throw what I'm thinking out here.

Seriously - in spare time I think about all of the awesome projects I could make in 3dmm if I had the persistance to do so, and some of the things or scene I conjure up make me think 'Hahaha, that'd be awesome - but there's no way that that could be done in 3dmm, which is a shame'.

But what you did here, is you not only did you shatter the limits of my entire imagination with your creativity and ingenuity, but you produced it in a sharable, astounding and visually stunning format. And to add to that - you creamed the hell out of any concerns I had about 3dmm's limitations.

Everything tiny bit about this movie are like the bricks that form The Great Wall of China - and I noticed PRETTY MUCH everything. The fading footsteps, audio-visual cues, shading, model alteration, camera angles, etc, etc, etc - I needn't go on. What I'm trying to say, is that this ran like and had all of the elements a REAL movie should - a really fucking awesome real movie at that.

The visuals were incredible, as I have probably already said - the sheer detail that you've implimented into every scene is amazing, let alone the [WORD NOT FOUND IN ENGLISH DICTIONARY] animation in the fight scenes.

The sound work was incredible, never have I seen such brilliant sound design - I took notice of everything you did and I'm very, very impressed - because this is pretty much text-book standard, it worked out so well.

The story-flow was incredible, I never, ever remember names of people in movies - and I barely ever care about the characters because they're never presented well, or they're presented far too much and everything gets boring. I felt that the charaterisation was done just right, I feel that I know everything I'm meant to know at this stage, which is great - but I'm sure it isn't the full story and there's more to learn.

Everything else unmentioned is incredible, by the way - I'll get into more detail, I promise.

ALSO, I want to add how funny this movie was in places, I thought it was pretty subtle but it worked so well. For example, when Stacey commented on Dask's car and Dask got a little irritated because he thought she wouldn't realise and he would get away with it. Then like, after the hour long car drive and a long conversation, she makes one comment and he instantly links it to the car again, because you can tell that he was still a little pissed off with himself for having such a shit car (and hmcdaskcrap.vxp, haha).

There's like, a page more I want to write - but I'm really tired, I'll review this in a decent format when I feel up for it. Let me just say for now, you've earned my 100/100. .

Awesome, thanks. Now since it got a 100/100 from me before while viewing on my POS computer, it'll probably get a 120^25/100.

Okay, just watched it through again... done this time. It's even better! I... whew. I think I have time to write a full review, but I'm not sure, but I'll go by saying The Zarethio battle and everything after took an already high gear and.. put it into... aw SHIT what's the word... OVERDRIVE! Yeah. That point on is the part that completely wowed me. This is not to say the rest didn't. In fact, quite the contrary, but you're going to have to wait for the full review to read about that.

Was the interior of the car made in Maya? It seemed to be one piece. If it wasnt' that's some good construction there.

SUCKED. 0/INFINITE.
Only joking. Superbly done Aaron. Loved every second of it. Won't get into details or I'll say something really stupid and get flamed for years to come. But this was a masterpiece and I am definately looking forward to Vlarion 2.
10/10

No it's not, it's a v3dmm file, and you need to open it up in v3dmm. Then, "lauch." It's easy.

By the way Aaron LOVED the Kriven and Rasklain appearences near the end. Totally didn't see that coming.
May do a full review as soon as my laziness is cured. But this makes me wanna quit 3dmm forever. Meaning no TOATM.

Wow. That pretty much blew my socks off. It was pretty much everything I was hoping for and more. Just pure brilliance.

First off, this is just visually the coolest thing I have ever seen in 3DMM. Watching your progress with the movie I was afraid I'd seen everything, but I was pleasantly surprised to see quite the contrary. I don't even know what to say. The Zarethio battle was just incredible. The underwater effects were just amazing; not just with the visuals, but with the sound, too. I was really surprised to see Rasklain and Kriven. Rasklain especially, not only because he actually appeared, but also because he actually didn't look ridiculous. The only real nitpicks about the movie I can think of in terms of visuals is the gratuitous amount of crosshatching in a lot of your scenes (not to mention pretty much all of your movies). Considering it's used in most scenes where lighting is a factor, it can be really distracting when the light is moving around like crazy all over the walls and characters. Also, I wasn't especially crazy about the Kramer battle. It was animated all right, but the scenery is very plain, which is especially noticeable when it's the default grass texture. Other than that, though, the movie was pretty amazing to look at.

The voices were pretty good, too. Dask sounds a little congested in the Masili fields scene, but it's pretty good for the rest of the film. I think I mentioned it before but Stacey sounds fantastic. She, Jack, and Adrack were all voiced almost flawlessly. I was okay with Brackus' voice, but a lot of times it was just nearly incomprehensible. The other characters were voiced great, too. Nice job, guys.

Yeah, I don't know what else to say at the moment. I'm psyched for Vlarion 2.

He means because they weren't revealed until the second movie in the originals. Though, I remember I kinda liked being shocked to find out that Rosal wasn't Kriven, but I guess it's kinda silly now. I think the way it works now is probably better.

Ben - 9.5/10 (on the rating page)? Man, your standards are impossibly high! And write something more constructive - you won't be flamed for giving out praise.

No, I know what he meant, it just sounded like he thought it was the least likely thing possible.

Amazing work here, Aaron. Quite fucking amazing. I've never seen anything like this in a 3dmm film before, this is epic.

I look forward to Vlarion 2, but I know I'll have to wait quite a while

Haha it took like 5 minutes for me to download. BECAUSE I GOT 6MBIT/S AND THAT MAKES ME COOL.

This movie made me want to do 5 things which contains the word fucking:

1. Fucking quit.

2. Slap myself hard and go fucking NUTS on Rayman: Level 1. I SO want to start over now because the movie fucking sucks so fucking bad, it's insane.

3. Don't fucking quit.

4. Learn the works but for me, it just wouldn't work out. It looks so damn hard and it would probably suck out my social life completely. Maybe I'm just imagining things. Maybe it ain't so hard after all?

5. Watch it so many fucking times for ideas, inspiration and show it to my little brother (12 years old and a big fan of yours, Aaron. He makes movies and some of them are actually good. When he makes a proper movie I will fucking post it one day. Today he said to me that he wanted to learn Maya, I fucking laughed).

Now on to something I'm not good at writing. Reviews.

Genius, pure genius. I got so much I want to say but it's so damn hard to put it into words. I can start off with scenery.
Scenery: Scenery definitely gets a 10/10. The outside scenery is beautiful, my favorite setting would have to be in the city and the Ceveron Water Complex. Love the buildings of Terrania and the Water Complex gave me goosebumps. Some parts of the inside scenery reminded me of JP's scenery. Mostly inside the AT. Brilliant.
Animation: You've taken animation to a whole new level, for me at least. I loved the realism of movement and the fight scenes, especially sequence with Hirolix. When Dask starts to shoot and you see the bullets go right through Hirolix.... The camera angle and animation fucking blew me away. Also when the water bursted into the water complex, it looked so real! You will definitely win best animator this year if me, Dan or HMC won't fuck you up with some super-awesome-way over the top-top notch-ballistic-orgasmic animation. Haha me, sure. There's no chance in hell. 10/10

Sound/Music: METAL GEAR SOLID ALL THE WAY! MGS = Yes. Now don't you go and use all of the MGS music and leave me with nothing for Rayman. Luckily you didn't use any of the songs I have. The sequence where the Shagohod theme played, it fit so god damn well. It was perfect. The tension made my heart stop beating for a second. Not to mention the sequence with the Life's End song. That was really awesome and kind of touching. I was hoping not to say anything negative about this movie but all movies have their flaws. It was hard to figure out what people was saying at times. It was probably bad mics and loud music that caused this. But it wasn't that big of a deal, I don't think I missed anything.
Sound: 9.0/10
Music: 10/10

Closing Comments
This really got me inspired to continue Rayman. I haven't touched 3dmm for two months at least and I was close to just let it go silently, believe it or not. I've spent so much time on it, why do I have to work so god damn slow? It's the HMC's that's killing me. But anyways, what's gonna happen next? Continue on Vlarion 2 and so on, what of AV4? Brilliant work Aaron ''Mr. Perfect'' Haynes. May you live long and have many children. Oh and smoking is bad for you. Quit. Now I'm off to bed soon. I'm going to sleep well.

9.9/10

I know is v3dmm! I have it, how do you think I did ONY trailer? The problem is that when the 3dmm opens (not the v3dmm manager) appears the 3dmm movie maker window saying that is not a file for that program. That's the problem.
