Hey, I'm new to 3DMM, but I can't seem to get this to work. I got it into the program, but when I select it, it doesn't seem to do anything. What are you supposed to do? I made a small sample movie and then selected the greyscale scene and the scene I had disappeared. Could someone explain how to use this addon or know if there is another addon to make black and white movies?

You first select the black and white scene and THEN you build up your scene, you can't (easily, anyway) apply a black and white effect to a pre-existing scene.

I tried this and it works, except that if you try to add a scene it goes back to color... the greyscale scene is just a black background. is this how it's supposed to be?

Yeah, you build the scenery with combinations of 3D words, Spheres, Cubes and stuff - try it out.

As I said, it's certainly possible - but is very complicated and would take hours to do. I say get used to building your own scenes out of the props and 3d words; take a look at some of the movies out there in the movies forum, for example.

an alternative workaround...

If you want to make existing scenes black and white, before you upload your video to youtube, once you have a working avi or mpg file you can apply a black and white filter to segments of your video using your favorite video editor.

This is, mind you, a pretty cool mod. I do hope to use it.

The mirror doesn't work, probably just my browser.

If anyone has an alternative mirror, I would be glad.

The download link isn't HTTPS. Only the 3dmm.com download.php script is on HTTPS.
