This is round one of the animation competition. It includes animations from me, Jack BZ, Red Scorpion, and Diabolic. So watch it, and I apoligize for how crappy mine is. As you can tell I didn't spend alot of time on it at all. Either way, enjoy the competition and post comments on it.

Leave comments on all the animations. Yeah. .

The link doesn't work. Try using a semi-decent uploader. I'm trying to automirror it, but it's going about 7k/s.

I tried two and neither worked, so that was my last resort. I'll try another uploader in a little bit.

While I'm downloading this at 2k/s - how about popping up a couple of screenshots?

Haha, I love the way my reviews were written and so carefully planned, and Ben's were like, erm yeah... crappy animation... crappy hand made characters... crappy scenery...

Reviews of Animators:

Jimmy Demarco: Hmmmmm. Not a very good entry. It started out ok-ish, the camera movement was alright, but then you just shot Diabolic (which was animated pretty poorly) and went to hell. It wasn't very original, but an ok job for someone who joined the community in November. 4/10

Diabolic: Easily the best in my opinion, the camera movement was brilliant, the hmc movement was cool and original, everything was great! The music was ok....and yeah, awesome entry, very original. 9/10

Red Scorpion: Eh, not too good. I know you can do better from watching the Pain of Love which had decent animations, but this was un-original, and boring. Also, you couldn't be bothered to animate Suneo you told me, but all you did with the replacement actor was make him run and I'm pretty sure Suneo can run. 5/10

Reviews of Judges:

Ben Rice: WOAH, you were way too harsh on Diabolic. 6/10? His was pretty damn cool! The rest of the reviews were good though, but a tad long, you should of just got to the point. Your animation skit was pretty cool though!
I wonder if you're even reading this

Richard Bevis: I gotta disagree with you giving Diabolic and Red Scorpion the same mark, Diabolic's was much better. Good reviews, and thanks for giving me an 8

Did I really give Diabolic and Red the same score? I swore I gave Red lower than Diabolic. Anyway, yeah I liked yours the best Jack.

They were all pretty crappy except for Diabolic's and Jack BZ's. And Ben, quit it with those shaky camera shots.

Diabolic and Jack BZ have some real talent and I'd really love to see more of them, I really enjoyed their animations.

Just added some screen shots. Next person to download this, can you try to upload it somewhere good? It's not working for me and I need to upload it somewhere better than freewebs. Thanks.

I tried uploading it to Psycoholiday about three times and it didn't work.

God damnit.

Reviews:

Jimmay! Well, your animation was done in...what, two days? So I can understand it being short and boring. But I s'pose you just wanted this thing released. The only real animation in it was the camera swoop. Yeah. No original death! I thought that was something we had to do!
4/10 I s'pose.

Jack Bz! Freakin awesome! I didn't know what to expect from you, but I heard you were good. I didn't expect you to be shitty, but I didn't expect you to be awesome either! It made me laugh at a few bits, like the friend getting shot in the head, and he just...dropped. I dunno, the way it was done was hilarious. And Reds screams! Ha... Sweet animation with the fight scene, but again, no original death.
Freakin 8/10.

Red! Now, judging by you posts, you kept putting this off and on again. The only real animation was when he jumped off the edge and landed on the ground, which was not bad. No original death either, I swear that was one of our goals in this thing.
Bah, 5/10. You need more friggin confidence.

Thanks for the uploading and the link. By the way Diabolic, I made it in an hour, not two days. That's why it is so bad, I rushed it.

First of all, I want to say the animation in that film was demonstrated on a level I'd NEVER be able to do myself. Right off the bat, I'm giving major Kudos for this film.

I'm going to have to compare this film to the others in order to be fair.

I personally thought Jimmy's animation was better than Diabolic's.
I personally thought Jack's animation was better than Red Scorpions.

It does, it just doesnt like big files through the browser uploader. Your browser will look like its doing nothing, but it is uploading. Just try leaving it on while doing nothing else, then coming back to it later.

Haha, thanks man, but mine was no good at all. I really didn't spend a lot of time on it. But thanks anyway.

This was FUN. ANYWHO...

Jimmy DeMarco - The worst out of the group, not as in bad, just not as good as the other 3. Nothing really interesting happened and your best part was just the introduction of your name. After that it went down a scale or something. 5/10

Jack BZ - as I expected, goodness and definately the best out of the 4. Funny death, creative using Red's characters from his movies was a cool idea. The ending kind of sucked though. 8/10

Red Scorpion - The beginning baseball stuff was awful, but everything else was pretty good. The scenery and animation was pretty good, but similar to Jimmy's nothing really interesting happened and didn't grab my attention. 3rd place. 6/10

Diabolic - 2nd best. The camera shook for no reason a lot, which was kind of annoying, but I think you should have done more with that "blob" thing, that could have been super cool, but instead it was just neat. Way to go 7/10

Tuna, yeah the blob thing can shape shift but I couldn't think of what it could have done in this particular animation.

Finally got around to watching this.

Jimmy - The worst of the lot but you show potential so S'ALL good. At the beginning, work on the scenery, the city was too empty. When you shot the mummy, he didn't move or react, so it wasn't realistic. Everything else was simple, but hey, that's just how I do things, you'll figure out what looks best over time.

Diabolic - Shockingly awesome. The beginning camera movement AND scenery were a treat to watch, though the water coming out of the drain right before the train appeared was dishearteningly lazy looking. BUT the bit kept going. The fight noises inside the train seemed weak for the action, oh well. Thrown out of train. bit kept GOING. Very cool idea, having the lights go out. The morphing HMC was an excellent idea, not executed PERfectly but thumbs up no problem! bit FINALLY stopped. And yet at no point was I thinking 'god this is going ON and ON' but 'OOH it keeps GOING and GOING' so YES. I'm gonna keep an eye on YOU dude. Oh and if that blob really can shapeshift, then, if you're going to use him again, get realllclever. He can morph weapons into/out of/of his hands/feet/hand, transform into animals, become heavy objects or guns, or or or well he's a BLOB so I'm sure if he's flat on the ground he's slippery, and that's MORE dangerous than having his penis turn into a bullwhip. whCHAA.

Red Scorpion - Ca-Can I just, just say something, K? Uh, this, this animation, uh...well...................if I had seen this in an actual movie, I'd have been very happy with you! Everything up until the too sudden ending would have been great if used in an actual movie. For an animation competition, though, the scenery was basic enough to allow RELatively easy camera movement through those hallways, providing a LONG and AWESOME movement in the end. But that just takes a lot of time, forethought, practice, and patience. But yes. Easily the best thing I've seen out of Red here.

Jack Bz - my DAWG. but if I MUST say something---I know you're not from where I'm from, Mr. Bevis, but over here we pronounce the Z as ZEE. Like McZee. So B-ZEE sounds cool. B-ZED was unexpected and silly. Silly you for not being like me! That's just sil-anyway, Jacko, I'm prreeeetty certain I've told you already that I loved your bit, so I'd rather spend this review talking about crackers. We're cool, too. haha crackers.

K. PLEASE = ROUND TWO. PLEASE ON 1, 2,....PLEASE?
