Yeah, it sucks, another computer problem thread..

*sigh*

So I was playing BF1942 when my Toshiba laptop froze up, black screen, restarted.
Everything was fine, it had done that before, then as I was going to start it again, I saw graphical glitches on the screen. Inverted colours, etc, etc.
It then froze up again, black screen, and I had to force it to shutdown by holding power for 5 secs.
It restarts, no screen. No backlight. The monitor doesnt even turn on, everything else works, but no screen.
I try a couple times after, a SYSTEM ERROR message comes up, "RESTORE FAILURE.", figured out that had something to do with the Toshiba battery, but it was a worthless message because when I moved the mouse to press "continue", the screen went glitchy, then boom. The monitor went off again.

Computer guy came over, we tried it many times, and he determined it was a cooling problem, the fan... overheating.. something like that.
The data on the hard drive is all great, so that's no worries, but yeah, its something to do with the cooling / overheating fan or whatever.

So basically I'm in limbo til I know what the fate of my laptop is, and I PRAY that its gonna be okay, and not gonna need a new motherboard or something, because that would kill me..

Yeah, I don't know if you guys can help at all, I just needed a place to air my intense greivances and worry.

The computer guy didn't point you in the right direction to sort it out?
